Boarding time

Hello, I have a question of when you can start boarding the Emerald Princess at the Port Everglades?  My flight into Fort lauderdale has changed. I am thinking of coming in a different day now. My new time of arriving is 11:00am of embarkation day.  Will I have time?

Yes. The airport is within 10 minutes taxi ride to Port.  We always arrived the day before just in case of flight delays or cancellations.

Usually 30 minutes before departure.

If your flight is on time you'll be fine.  If something goes wrong, what is your plan B?

Thank you for your response. We changed our flight to arrive the day before now. Still, with the way the airlines are now, we are keeping our fingers crossed.   But at least now there will be about 20 hours before boarding.

Boarding begins around 10:30 or 11am. Believe your cruise probably sails at 3pm. The cruise line is required to submit a passenger manifest to the authorities 60 minutes before they sail. You must be checked in before that time. It is recommended that you arrive no later than 90 minutes before sailing. Many passengers arrive at the pier early, maybe 9:30 or so and wait.

So, does this mean there are long queues?

Depends on the port. In San Francisco  if there is a long line at 12:00. We just go across the street to Fog City for lunch and then board at 2:00 no lines at all just walk on board
