Rare Super27 Posted February 6 #1 Share Posted February 6 As a party of 2, do they typically seat you at your own table in Luminae or do they seat you at a larger shared table with other guests?
jelayne Posted February 6 #2 Share Posted February 6 Party of 2 are seated as 2. I have not seen a shared table offfered in Luminae, or Blu, but have been asked if we were interested in that in the MDR occasionally.

miched Posted February 6 #4 Share Posted February 6 It is usually tables for 2 unless you are traveling with others then you can share a table with them. If you meet some others on board in the retreat areas and become ‘friends” you may also request to dine together. Next time going to a land based restaurant tell the host that you wish to share a table with strangers to see their reaction. 🫠 Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅 2
George C Posted February 7 #5 Share Posted February 7 We have shared a table a few times after making friends in the retreat. But normally get a table for two,

It seems pretty standard in many restaurants serving Asian cuisine.
Team Stag Posted February 7 #8 Share Posted February 7 We have always gotten a table for two in Luminae. Now be warned, they tend to be very close to other tables of 2 due to the space constraints.

And, with the new Retreat Privilege Package offering the tables are likely to get a lot closer together in Luminae/Blu and the Retreat Lounge/Michael's Club depending on how many people end up having this booked. On E-class an extra $199 pp/pd and $125 pp/pd for S/M class in any stateroom for Retreat amenities as long as a current Retreat guest books it. That’s going to be limited, and will add up pretty quickly as you have to book the entire week. They were turning down retreat guests that requested this on my recent sailing on The Ascent. Just curious, is one able to book this for others when you board on the ship or has to be done in advance?

I thought this was just for people with connecting rooms to suites all on the same booking. Is that not true?

We've always been able to get a corner table with additional space between us and the next table.

Not sure, I spoke with guests at the Retreat pool deck bar who were turned down pre cruise…I am pretty sure it was a sold out ship.
