They treat you very well in the suites on the smaller ships! Took a bit of adjustment after cruising quite a few ships with the waterfront, but we are loving it. OBSESSIVEWORLDTRAVELER Posted March 13 #230 Share Posted March 13 I'm currently on the Dawn round-trip South Africa and I found cookies in the buffet during "Snack Time" from 2p-5p. Honestly every NCL cruise I've been on there's always been cookies in the buffet during "Snack Time."
Rare Seas2mountains Posted March 18 #231 Share Posted March 18 On the Gem right now and can confirm that cookies are available in the afternoon at the Great Outdoors. They have brownies in Garden Cafe. 2

CobbIsCruiser Posted March 18 #233 Share Posted March 18 We got off a 14 day cruise on the Sky in mid March. The only cookies I saw during the cruise was at the ice cream station and they were only cookie crumbles. We asked an officer, and he said all NCL ships were going to stop having cookies at the 3:00 pm snack. I joked that I was going to start an online protest #NCL_NoCookies. We’ve seen oatmeal raisin, Chocolate Chip and Chocolate Chocolate chip. weisla Posted March 19 #237 Share Posted March 19 Just off Getaway and can confirm there were no cookies out at the buffet during afternoon tea/snack time, nor at any other time. We received 1 plate of 4 cookies delivered once to our Club Balcony. There are also oatmeal raisin cookies offered as dessert option on the updated kids menu. These were nice and soft, much better and fresher than the rock hard ones delivered to our stateroom. They serve 2-3 at a time, and my understanding is that the kids menu is not limited to kids. I don’t see why anyone couldn’t ask for the oatmeal cookies when dining anywhere the kids menu is available. They might say no, but if you really want those cookies order a kids option - they all come with dessert! A cup of roasted tomato soup is offered as a kids meal - I’d bet you could order that and ask for the oatmeal cookies with it.
Rare YVRteacher Posted March 19 #238 Share Posted March 19 Cookies are plentiful in the Studio Lounge on the Breakaway plus we were given double chocolate and chocolate chip on our Behind the Scenes Tour today.

Lol 😂 It's not that I don't like a good cookie. I do! But I'll be happy to choose whatever is available to me and enjoy it! 1
Rare BirdTravels Posted April 12 #241 Share Posted April 12 Encore last week. We also had cookies delivered to our stateroom as a "treat". We had our room steward throw them out.

Causing the cookie lovers of the world to cry! We do the same...if it doesn't have a warm, gooey center, I'm not eating 'em. No crispy biscuits for me!

Personally, I think that delivering buffet leftovers as a "special treat" to a stateroom is an insult. We'll take choco strawberries and chocolates.

dmwnc1959 Posted April 12 #245 Share Posted April 12 So, a quick question about NCL's policy regarding bringing food on board in US ports. On the repositioning cruise, when we stop in LA or San Francisco or Astoria and I go out into town and buy a couple of boxes of soft baked cookies, can I bring them back on board with me? I was seriously contemplating buying the Starbucks drink package. Thought it would be nice to take down a couple of soft baked cookies to enjoy with a specialty coffee. I've been tracking down stores close by to where the ship docks, and there ate plenty of opportunities to run out and grab some supplies. Including cookies. NCL's Frequently Asked Questions says...... "Unsealed food items will not be allowed onboard." I don't know how strict the cookie police are.

reeinaz Posted April 12 #250 Share Posted April 12 I was able to order cookies as dessert when in the MDR. I did not see any in the buffet but it was on the Sky and I mostly just walked through. But I did look at the dessert section each time.
