BEWARE!!!!!! Beyond Creaking

Recommended Posts

First E ship we did was the Edge.

without even the deck plans stating where public rooms were, we booked Deck 3 port side. We had been on a S class same location and loved it. Big cost savings as we were squeezing this cruise in after a 2 week on Equinox balcony. Why not ?

well…noise is why we shouldn’t have booked it !

you could hear the boom boom boom from the Club going to 2 am.
after 3 nights and a note to the hotel director that was not answered, I went back to Customer service and with my exhausted face, said please, have them turn the bass down so we can get some sleep.

They offered us another room, that someone had complained about, and said leave your things in your deck 3 room and just pop up there to sleep. What ???

we were so exhausted we took the $200 they offered us as compensation, ( no we didn’t sleep upstairs lol) but once home decided to contact the post resolution dept. We had 2 special weeks on Equinnox and just felt that for what they charged us ( at the time really high as the Edge was new) we were taken advantage of. ( and sleep deprived lol we agreed)

They did cough up more for us btw, but I knew there was no way

they didn’t already know these rooms had issues…and yes they kept selling them.

that was back in 2019….so this all about the money and it’s all because of the new CEO isn’t all right. They were then too!

just wanted to share that experience

thanks

Brockmom 🍷

fingers crossed, we board Beyond next Friday. May be a never again for us too on the E class.May be a beautiful ship, but mama bear

needs her sleep lol

Take along a set of noise cancelling headphones.  Been on Beyond but lucked out as we had a quiet room.  But others we met lost sleep.

Is the ship haunted 👻

Not haunted. But, do find it interesting that Captain Kate is the brand's biggest ambassador, tied so closely to Beyond, and hasn't been rotated off to another ship.  And, due to the deployment schedule the ship is full time Caribbean for the foreseeable future, including stops to CocoCay. Someone suggested the deployment for Beyond is to keep the ship at lower speeds and in less turbulent waters. Has anyone asked her for confirmation, and not been escorted out of the theater, or blocked from her social media pages?

Now that would hide the problem ...

Still curious why LLP is no longer there as CEO...  I suppose that the story will be kept under wraps.

You think it had to do with Noises on Beyond?

She's in her mid-60s.  I think this was all just part of succession planning and making a change in direction coming out of the pandemic before she retires.  I know of at least two other businesses that have done the same thing: kept a leader who was ready to retire just as the pandemic was hitting.  In both cases, the leaders were past ready to leave when all was said and done.

Let us not forgot that the new position was a demotion.  From CEO to President...

IMHO if they were happy with her work it would have likely stayed a CEO.
