Allure. Cabin for 4.

Recommended Posts

Can anyone help me discern about cabins sleeping 4 unrelated adults. We need 4 beds and don't want to get into suite category. We are looking for an ocean view balcony. I have seen 2 twin beds (by taking king apart) double sofa and pullman beds. Does the double sofa really sleep 2 full size adults? Would like info on pullman beds as really would prefer each our own beds. Do the pullmans safely hold full size adults if coming down from ceiling or off the wall?  Do they come down from ceiling or off the wall?  What about housekeeping now once a day, would the sofa and pullman stay open and unmade all day? Is it realistic for us to unmake sofa and pullman and then remake at night. I have read unable to get housekeeping in for nighttime room prep even with increased tipping. Thanks!

(I couldn't find a picture of pullman on RCCL web site.)

Try YouTube.  But really not suitable for four unrelated adults.  If you are all on a budget- try two inside or oceanview staterooms.  You will have privacy, two bathrooms and storage.  When I travel with family on a budget, we get two central park staterooms- deck 9 without a balcony same price as inside, but much nicer and larger- with a great view.

I don't think there are any in "regular" cabins. As mentioned above, look at two cabins.

The pullman beds will handle adults and are comfortable.  I have slept in them in the past when our family was young.  They are certainly more comfortable than the sofa bed.  Housekeeping will make each bed each day including the Pullmans.

You may also want to consider a family stateroom that can handle up to 6 in the standard twin / king bed arrangement along with a sofa bed and two bunk beds in a separate area.  We have also used this for our family and I have experience sleeping in the bunk bed, which was also fine.  This category is a standard category, not a suite category, and while being a higher fare is significantly larger and well suited to 4+ people.

I would contact a travel agent with this request as you want to be certain that the correct room configuration is selected for your requirements.  This would also be necessary to book the family stateroom as that can only be booked by calling the cruise line directly or through a TA.

The only balcony cabins that have a pullman in it are the regular balcony cabins that are designed to sleep 5.  They have the King that splits into 2 twins, a sofabed and one pullman.  These kind of cabins are only found on Allure and Oasis.

Terrific information. Good to know Pullman are designed for adults, too! Yes, 6 may give us more room and we could use the sofa as a sofa during the day. Glad to know we could do this without getting second room or a suite. We are planning to use TA, just trying to get as specific as I can before we book. Thanks again! Appreciate your response.

P.S. Love your username!

Thanks. Yup, checking a variety of options. It would be nice to have 2 bathrooms...
