Grease was just fine on Harmony, but what really shone for me was their aqua show, The Fine Line! Breathtaking! Having a boardwalk view balcony at the aft was also a great spot for watching rehearsals!

I enjoyed it, and even saw parts of a second viewing. For me, I read the story beforehand and listened to the music (as I enjoy music more when I know the songs). Give it a chance and ignore other people's thoughts.

For me, I loved Hairspray when it was on the Oasis. Jim J. Bullock played Edna Turnblad on my sailing. That was a treat 🙂

 

Next would be Mamma Mia on Allure. Although I gotta admit I fell asleep halfway through and woke up during the last 20 minutes. 

 

I didn't even bother with Cats. I'm really hoping there will be another "Broadway" show on Utopia. That's my next sailing this summer.

We seem to only be able to book Allure and Symphony, so our exposure is limited, but between the 2, our favorites are Symphony. LOVE Hiro! Hairspray is done really well (and I am not a musicals fan and really just go to keep my wife company), and the ice show 1977 with the projection mapping and drones is really good.

I was just on her in March and I loved it. The audience seemed to really like it as well.  Not sure why Cats gets so much panning here on CC. Maybe the cruisers on here have just seen it a lot? I have seen a bunch of Broadway shows, both on Broadway and regional tours but only one time each. It was the first time I had ever seen Cats but I would definitely go again.

Don't listen to the haters!  Cats is awesome.  If you aren't familiar with the story read the libretto before you board.  Perhaps it'd make good reading while you are on your flight.  It makes following the story while watching so much better.

Having done Allure 3 times didn't want Mama Mia again, Hairspray on Symphony was entertaining now we'll be sailing on Oasis in November. Why does everyone seem to dislike the Cats show on Oasis? Granted I saw it on Broadway many years ago, but we loved it there. .

I am not sure why Cats gets such a bad rap!  We almost skipped it on our cruise back in April because of comments and reviews here on CC. We are so glad we decided to give it a chance in the end becauase our entire family ended up loving it! So much talent!! The theater was packed and the cast received a standing ovation at the end so I think it safe to say there are some fans out there. Don’t listen to the naysayers. Enjoy!!

Grease is my favorite, Cats second, and Hairspray third.   Hate, hate, hate Momma Mia, but then I never did like Abba's music.   But Allure is my favorite of the Oasis class ships until they ruin her in 2025 with the refurb.   I will so miss the best Crown Lounge in the entire fleet.

I loved Grease, I did miss the adult pool solarium
