Casino bar

Is it my understanding that the casino on the Venezia does not have a bar…I have cruised on 16 of carnival’s ships and they ALL had a bar in the casino…

Your key word is HAD.  Carnival has been removing them on some of the ships during drydock lately.  Adds more space in the casino, and although smoking hasn't been allowed at the casino bar for a while, removing them still seems to help cut down on the smoke.

It indeed does not, and getting a drink from the servers is a challenge to say the least.  Even with liberal tipping.  The Hero's bar is close enough though.

Carnival Miracle and Pride have lost their casino bars and the Legend is in dry dock now getting hers removed with the Spirit next in line in Spring of 2025.

Aren't there still around 10 other bars on the ship?  How much more "vibe" do people really need?

Casino bars are GONE.  It was always THE MEETING PLACE."

The one time frequent cruisers (casino people) on Pride have stopped cruising as often because of it.  They never had any interest in the ship's other bars.

It's disappointing but so are a lot of other things in life (LOL)

I think there are still plenty of people willing to cruise on basically free casino cruises. And no lack of the big spenders with DOUE clogging up Alchemy.

The servers don't go there for drinks.  There is a back stage dedicated prep area for casino servers.

The large crowd of people just standing around the bar smoking added neither revenue nor vibe.

This should tell you, if uninformed, how much money a slot machine makes. That large circular bar has been removed for SIX SLOT MACHINES.

Those Six machines make more money than liquor profits! Thats a lot!

I think the newest Carnival ships have Casino Bars.  I know Mardi Gras does, and it's located between the non-smoking casino (great ocean view!) and the smoking casino (closet-sized with view of lifeboats).  If I recall correctly, you can smoke at that bar.  Given that Excel class is the newest, maybe "getting rid of casino bars" is not the trend for new builds?

This is Carnival Legend before and after the casino bar removal.

We have DOU in the casino on our next Vista cruise.  Since there is no bar, is there a "casino bar" menu?  thanks!

not really, just the standard drinks. no specialties like you'll find at alchemy. inquire with the casino drink servers.

You can not smoke at the casino bar on the MG.

There is a bar, just not in public.  Bartenders are dedicated to filling server's orders, not guests sitting at the bar.

You cannot smoke at any of the casino bars.  To smoke in the casino, you must be actively playing.

I play table games, I don’t smoke, don’t find the need for much concentration on those games and you need absolutely none on the slots.  I have missed the live music in the casinos and now now buzzing at the bar.  Been on an 8 day in January and the casino was closed at midnight,

I was only responding to the comment about the MG bar since I spent a few hours there recently
