Recommended Posts

I’m looking for a private driver for 2 from Sky Princess Southampton to London hotel that you have used recently and you would recommend.

Last July, we used Jewel Airport Transfer from the ship to London. They were easy to communicate with and were very dependable.

Lots of stuff on the ‘Ports of Call - British Isles’ site. Used aquacars.co.uk, late last year, from Southampton to a hotel near Heathrow. £140. Price into London will be higher. Good luck…

I used Blackberry Cars last month (and had used them for prior trips). Drivers on time and courteous, cars okay, worth the cost (to me).

Both ways?

Southampton to my London hotel and hotel to Gatwick four days later. (I was on a transatlantic, so left from Port Everglades.)

I’m familiar with Blackberry. Answered too early to book- but will consider them. Thanks

Not a private car service, check out International Friends.  They only go on embarkment and disembarkment days.  They pick up at Southampton dock, stop at Salisbury, Stonehenge and Windsor then dropped off at the door of certain London and Heathrow hotels.

I have taken them from Southampton and Dover.

Just in case this thread is still ‘active’, believe BlackBerry Cars has closed.
Check ‘em out to be sure. Cheers…

I think the one that shut down was Smith (or Smith's).

As you'll see in the thread above, others have booked with them since @Crown Vic reported this. Don't know that anyone has actually ridden with them since then, but they've been responsive to my inquiries. Don't sweat it.

An extra ‘ooops’. Smiths didn’t make the effects of the pandemic. Phew!
As a consolation prize, in Southampton, have a pint for me at the Duke of Wellington on Bugle Street. Cheers…
