Arriving SFO at 10:30am - enough time to get to Pier 27 by 2:30pm?

Arriving on a Wednesday - best to Taxi, Uber or is there a Princess Shuttle service?  TIA for info.

Assuming you do make it in at 10:30-- a delay or ground stop can be an issue here-- you should be able to make it downtown by 2:30. Personally would take Uber. Same day is always a risk.

Same day is a considerable risk!!

Uber or Taxi would be fine. I am sure Princess will be providing transfers as well, but that is the most expensive of the three options, and they will have a cutoff time.

So we are coming in from So Cal - only a 90 minute flight, hopefully not too big of a weather risk.  Any idea when Princess cutoff time is for shuttle pick up (approx)?

The length of the flight can affect weather cancelations, but not in the way you think. If, for example,  severe fog is a factor, SHORTER, somewhat local flights are the ones that get canceled at SFO, because those are usually smaller planes that affect fewer passengers. Longer domestic and international flights get priority.

In April,  we had a flight out of San Diego to SFO, returning from an Eclipse cruise. It was scheduled for 10:20am. Our plane went mechanical on the taxi way. We didn't get home until 1am the next morning.

I would ask on the Princess board what time their cut off is.

It isn't the length of the flight, but the risk of a plane mechanical. I fly to and from SFO every other week and flights get cancelled and delayed these days far more than they used to.

Thank you both for these responses.  CruiserBruce- I will post the shuttle question as you suggested.

Princess does have a shuttle and then your bags will go straight to your room from the shuttle. The only thing that would stop you from getting there on time would be a flight delay or cancellation. We no longer take the risk and always come in a day early

Thanks - I think we will probably do the same thing.

Another voice saying "go the evening before"; no point starting your holiday off under a lot of stress.

Evening before is better, but if you absolutely cannot, take an earlier flight so you have more options if the first one cancels. Air travel is so unreliable these days.

You should be fine unless your arriving flight is significantly delayed.

Uber is across the street from the Domestic Terminals on the top floor of the parking garage.  Easily accessible via a underground walkway with moving sidewalk.   When in the parking garage it will be on Level 5 (roof).   It can be windy and chilly.

Travel time is about 30 minutes but could be longer during commute time.

If all goes well those times won't be an issue.  I just flew San Antonio to SFO landed at 0930 hrs and Uber'ed to an appointment near the port getting there by 1100 hrs.  They had changed the signs to the Ride Share area since my last trip to SFO.  It's actually much clearer now.  Just follow signs to "baggage claim and exit" Then you will see "Uber/Lyft" just follow to the roof top pickup area.  You can wait to order one when you get there as they are only a few minutes away.  When the driver takes your fare they will give you an area (B2, B3, C4, etc) to stand at and just watch for your Uber.
