ABC, Easy as 123... A Live Beyond Cruise Report

Oh, sorry! I misunderstood.

When your drift time is over each time you flow

your guide to deeper water and the boat comes around with a yellow rope behind it. You grab the yellow rope and pull to the boat, then there is a ladder to steps. It was pretty easy. One time the rope was against the current so it was a bit tougher, but your guide stays in the water until all are on so they can help you.

thank you again for the answers. Very helpful.  I put in a request and waiting for their reply if they have room for us in September.

Yesterday was just a pretty chill day, reading, watching Olympics, etc. Dinner was at the Rooftop Garden Grill and was yummy!

I love that they put the iced drinks to stay in little bottles!

That’s a frozen Tito’s Punch in Craft Social. They can do it not frozen or frozen. I figured I needed a couple of ‘Gram-worthy drink pics. 🤣🤣

I decided to treat myself to a belated birthday present.

No, this is not the regular blue drink at the Martini Bar. They had all the ingredients for a Duck Duck Razz minus the baby rubber duck (it’s a drink at The Boathouse at Disney Springs - 2 parts Raspberry Vodka, 2 parts Peach Schnapps, 1 part Blue Curaçao, lemon juice, and simple syrup) so I asked them if they could do it - obviously they were up for the challenge.

We cruised by Haiti.

For dinner I had the Caprese Salad, the Filet but with spinach rather than asparagus, and the peach cobbler which is the only dessert they could do gluten-free (but was yummy anyway).

This morning I’m seeing the Beyond the Podium on the ocean’s most venous creatures - mainly to have a seat for Ocean’s Ahead with Captain Kate. Sitting at the back to be ready to bolt for The Club because they ARE doing Bug trivia (I’m brushing up on my Bug knowledge). I’m doing the Art and Architecture Tour this afternoon. I’ll be doing self-disembark tomorrow so I can wait until after dinner and evening activities to pack.

My way of getting extra steps in this cruise is using the Forward elevators so I can walk by this little guy in the hall.

I just want to boop his nose! I don’t so as not to smudge the glass, but he makes me smile.

In a surprise to no one, the top half of the most venomous things in the ocean are in Australia.

What did they say was number 1 ?  I remember being surprised that it was an Australian jelly fish of some type.

Wasp Jellies - which are a form of Box Jellyfish with 15 tentacles on each corner, and each tentacle can be up to 10 feet long.

Still enjoying your TR.

You are packing in a lot of activities.

Those last couple drinks you posted looked refreshing.

Are you on the basic or premium WiFi plan?

Any WiFi issues?

(Sorry if this was already mentioned.)

I’m on Premium. The only real ick has been that at least while we were in the islands I couldn’t stream Peacock for the Olympics.

Well, I didn’t win Bug Trivia. 😢  So I didn’t get to hold her, but we could still get pics of Captain Kate holding her.IMG_2784.thumb.jpeg.98146078df0d123d6ae287aa44c2ca6c.jpeg

During her Oceans Away presentation, she had a photo of her parents with her looking at the Beyond and she said they do sail sometimes but they are like the albatross of the seas - things always go wrong. Her quip was “This tropical system we have been keeping an eye on but is not going to impact us unless something changes? If they were onboard, it would have been sitting right over us the whole cruise.” She said she has told them one more incident when they are onboard and she is cutting them off. 🤣🤣🤣

Lunch was the Extravaganza so I grabbed some nachos and retreated to my stateroom. Lol.

I’ll slowly start the sad thing of packing this afternoon.

They just called from Shore Excursions. Unless someone signs up in the next 90 minutes, I get a private Art and Architecture tour! They were checking if I still wanted to do it and I said of course - unless they didn’t do it for one and she said they are happy to, just not everyone wants a private tour.

Granted someone else could sign up, but cool!

That pic was on our stateroom hallway on the Ascent TA in April and it was my favorite!

Oceans Away

What time was this at?

(Just so I can plan out my final sea day.)

How has Beyond handled the seas today and throughout this sailing?

The wind does not appear too bad this evening based on my weather apps.

10:15. Bug Trivia was at 11:30 so I sat near the back and scooted out at the Q&A part to get there.

It’s been fine. We really haven’t been near the storm. A friend is on one of the Royal ships and they sailed pretty much through the depression - I was shocked they didn’t reroute to go around Cuba, but she said it has not been horrible. It is looking cloudy now and we could hear thunder during the outside part of the art tour, so we may get some more movement.

Interesting, since the only thing I could stream was Peacock.

Funny since I only do private tours!  I hate sitting on a bus with 40 of my new best friends and following someone with a flag!

Sadly I am sitting at FLL now. 😢 I totally could have made the 8:45 flight, but better safe than dealing with a missed flight.

Dinner last night was the French onion soup, Caprese salad, filet mignon, and crema Catalina.

IMG_2803.thumb.jpeg.c0cd2b79502d2b44b7024047af9b4dd9.jpeg

The show was Stage Door - the second show the new production cast did.

IMG_2804.thumb.jpeg.82916f4b7d8267662d21dd79f94e600f.jpeg

We did not get to see Arte. I find it weird they would change over casts until the new cast is ready to go with all the shows - but that is probably being used to Disney which ensures their cast is ready for all 3 before they hand over. Stage Door was not my favorite - but that is probably because while they had some I love in there like “Seasons of Love” I was not the biggest Dear Evan Hansen fan so including multiple songs from that didn’t do it for me.

While it didn’t feel any rockier, we did go through quite the thunderstorm last night - well, at least lightning and thunder. My window didn’t look rained on, so… Bit lots of impressive lightning. I left everything unplugged just in case.

The app had indicated Blu would open at 6, so I was there ready for a final meal, but it was not open and there was NO ONE in there. So I went to the buffet. I did stop in to say bye on my way to Eden and she said they opened at 6:30.

I found it fitting this was the pic in my last elevator…

IMG_2811.thumb.jpeg.6a6ad12728daf056063349b60f0575d1.jpeg

As sad as getting off the ship is, I’m ready to see Merida!

I will say I like their wait in a lounge and line up the luggage in order of arrival. So much more dignified than the just stand in this super long line that wraps all around the ship approach on Royal.

I’ll wrap up final thoughts once I’m home. ☺️

Oh.  Em.  Gee.

Is that who I think it is?

You may be too young to know.

I saw her live in concert in 1988.

Now I’m jonesing even more to get on board.
