Enjoying all the pictures of Katakolon. I was there June 2017 on a Princess cruise for my sister's 60th bd. We, of course, went to the site of the Olympics as well as the museum and a few other key sites. We were there on her birthday, so it was June 11.

I don't remember a lot from that cruise as there was a horrible family event that marred the trip. But what I do remember it was HOT, HOT, HOT!!  Takeaway is do not go to Greece in June, tell your relatives they'll be celebrating from home and you'll play tourist in the off season 😉 

 

Saw a lot of dogs in Olympia. They caused no issues and looked as hot as us.

 

No pictures to post as they're on my computer and I'm using my phone. But all of the ones here are fabulous, so not losing out my not seeing mine.

 

I hope @RMLincolnhas a fabulous cruise and best birthday ever 🥳

 

I wish @smitty34877 and Tana restful nights and uneventful days.

Have an 11:30am boarding time w/diamond status, so hoping it goes smoothly. Regardless, it's an adventure on a new cruise line.

Hoping to sleep soundly tomorrow night in a gently rocking cabin. After enjoying wine on the deck 😎

Bon voyage today.

We had a short cruise on MSC Virtuoso a sister ship and the ship was lovely.

There was 2 formula 1 simulators and a bowling alley on board.

We used our Princess Elite loyalty to status match to Diamond on MSC.

We got a free Speciality restaurant meal,drinks and chocolate in cabin and a late check out of our cabin at 10am instead of the usual 8am.

This meant we could leave our hand luggage in our cabin while going for breakfast.

Hand luggage wasn't allowed in the dining room so people had to leave luggage in a room next to the dining room.

I hope you have a wonderful cruise.

Thanks so much for the tip about bo hand luggage in the dining room. I also got matched to Diamond.

This is a short (5 days) cruise, so I thought "how bad can it be?"
