@Scottdalfonso on your next Princess cruise...if you board before noonish, look for the MDR that's serving lunch. That's one of our favorite Princess rituals - lunch in the MDR on boarding day.

We thought about it, but wanted to explore and check out a few places... so ended up doing the buffet after stumbling upon it

Had room service deliver some breakfast..just an egg muffin and a few pizza bite thingees. I REALLY enjoyed that egg mcmuffin thing. I wandered off a bit while my wife rested in the morning. Hit the casino (lost that little bit I was ahead), popped into the Love boat cast Q&A, saw some fruit carving,  wandered around the shops and just walked up and down between decks 5-7 a few times to check everything out. I did stumble upon a game of "officers vs guests water pong".. Basically a bunch of guests lined up on one side, officers on the other and each took two shots each to get ping pong balls into the cups on the other side...pretty sure you've all played or seen this game before, lol.  I ended up jumping In...shook off my beer pong cobwebs and got 1/2 my first time and 2/2 my second time, it was really cool having the whole piazza go crazy and cheer for me when I hit the 2nd one, I was the only guest who nailed both of thier shots. NOW you can probably see why I don't drink anymore, lol.  Tried a grilled chicken sandwich and fries from salty dog,  they were both really good..I was surprised that they basically cook the stuff to order.

Now we're just relaxing in the room trying to decide on MDR or one of our casual meals for dinner. It's formal night, and the menu doesn't jump out at us...so leaning toward O'Malleys or pizza for dinner.

If you go to the MDR for dinner and they serve lobster tail, be sure to tell them not to put on the gooey white sauce.

We didn't do mdr..but they're also not doing Lobster, I think that'll be the 2nd formal night (we don't do seafood, so I won't have to worry about that anyway)

Not an official update..but we finally made it to crooners and we met Bon and Edgar... told Bon I read a lot about him online. He knew exactly who I was talking about, asked for my phone, took a selfie with us and said "make sure Jamie sees this-shes a very popular blogger"  @JamieLogical

Sorry,my wife hated the way she looked in the pic so she had me edit her out, she was where the date is..lol. 20240901_194444.thumb.jpg.673d2fb579afb0326ebafe0c4f67e821.jpg

Yesterday was truly a lazy day. Really didn't do much,so this will be a short one. We hit the elite lounge for snacks..they had wings, so I had quite a few of those. We had decided at that point that we were definitely skipping MDR and just figuring it out as we go. Walking back, we found a 90s music trivia about to start in Princess Live. Well...THAT'S my specialty, so we sat down and played. I came in 2nd by 1 point because of some random ass Phil Collins song I have never heard in my life..but I got 19/20 right otherwise.

After a little relaxing, aka nap, in the room we went to the Comedy show in Vista lounge. Man am I glad we went...it was two guys, Alfred and Seymour, they seem to be regular Princess performers, and they had us laughing the whole 45 minutes. I was really unsure how the crowd would take some of the jokes, but they had the whole room rolling.  By then it was after 9 and I needed dinner, so since our room was right up the steps next to the pizza and salty dog stands...wife went up to the room and I ordered a cheeseburger, hot dog, chicken fingers and fries for us to share. It was all really good and I am still amazed that it's included. The chicken fingers were REALLY good and I'll be getting them a few more times.  Wrapped the night up with some room service desserts... tried a slice of 🍫 cake and a slice of cheesecake plus the key lime. We ate most of it, just left a little scoop of key lime. But all that sugar RIGHT before bed has my stomach a little rough right now.

We are in Boston,  just brought her up an iced caramel latte to get her moving. I tried to get a sugar free red bull at good spirits and they told me the ship doesn't carry them, but I've gotten about 4 already this week,so I'll try another bar on the way to the gangway when we get off.

Plans today..get off around 9ish, walk around or jump a HOHO bus and ride around a bit until we get to Fenway for our noon tour.

Random Phil Collins songs happen to be my specialty. Too bad we didn't team up. ☹️

Keep up the good work!

Well I fumbled a little on our Boston day. I thought we'd be able to get off around 9, get on a hop on hop off bus and get on and off at a few spots along the route while having plenty of time to make it to the Fenway stop for our noon tour. Well we got off around 930, got to the hoho bus stop and bought the tickets,  THEN asked about my plan, which he responded "I wouldn't get off any stops if you're trying to make that tour" And he was right...we ended up taking the bus to the next stop, then transferring to another bus with a great tour guide. The driver was very animated, a little corny,  but VERY knowledgeable and fun.  Anyway, by the time we got to the Fenway stop, it was just after 11...and it's about a 15 minute walk to the stadium.  The tour was great, found out some cool facts and got great pics. BUT by the time that ended, we realized taking the bus back might cut us a little tight. So we grabbed an Uber from a sports bar near the stadium back to the ship,  about an hour before all aboard. So I spent 140 bucks for the hop on bus...and never actually hopped back on. And we never got to walk around Quincy Market. But it was still a fun day, I'll just schedule it a bit better next time.

Just got back from dinner, once again the food was fine...BUT the system is just not good. I'm hoping the changes they have coming up fix it, but having a reservation for 6 and not being seated until almost 630 both nights isn't very good. Lines get huge, large groups in waiting areas for tables. People with no reservations..forget it, I've seen SO many frustrated couples storm off because they can't figure out how to sit down and eat dinner without waiting forever. They always have shared tables available,  but a lot of people don't want to have to sit with strangers to eat dinner.

Anyway...plans are to see Spotlight Bar then maybe another comedy show late, but definitely want to hang out and watch some music at some point, finally.

Also finishing up day 3 and still haven't used any of our casual meals or Premium desserts...just haven't had time to squeeze them in!

I am so enjoying your review so far, and especially your pictures. I believe you mentioned that you and your wife didn't want to share a table with anyone else, and that is your choice. I will say, up till these past 4 years or so, I have been blessed to do 15 or more cruises, and have shared the table (I always had a friend that went with me) with 4 or 6 more, and other than one time, have enjoyed being with the different ones, especially if they are from some other country. I have learned so much about their traditions, etc. which makes it very interesting at times. Also, thank you for posting the champagne picture too. I am hoping to do it again, as I did it on the Regal in February this year, after NOT doing this tower for 24 years. This one is shorter, but I still enjoyed doing it.

We ended up right next to another couple we were waiting with, so it was almost like we shared the table,ha.  But we just enjoy eating and going, not much of a conversationalist when dining.

Really enjoying this. I’m cruising on Enchanted on 9/14. I’ve been sailing CCL for the past 18 years straight so I’m kind of nervous! I am a solo cruiser as my DH passed. A few questions: do I get my medallion when I check in at Red Hook? Is salty Dog free? I also prefer eating alone. Did you see any tables in the MDR for one? I’ve been a NY Yankee fan since I was old enough to walk and talk. But I have to admit Fenway Is a beautuful ball park. Looking forward to the rest of your review.

If you didn't have the medallion ordered ahead of time, yes you can pick it up after the security check in Red hook. Yes, Salty dog is free...it has burgers, chicken sandwiches, chicken fingers, fries and hot dogs up on the pool deck, the free pizza place is right next to that,as well.

I did not notice any solo tables... but I'm sure they'll sit you at a 2 top if that's what you prefer.

We are in Eastport,ME today. This was the "throw in" port. They switched us to this port a few months back, but no info was ever really given about it. No excursions until about a month or so ago, and it never officially showed up in the app as a stop unless you looked at excursions.  It was going to be a ship day for us because there's not much here..a few shops and a diner. But about 2 weeks ago people found out that they were throwing a big street festival for us because they've never had a ship this size visit town before. So, we tendered over and walked around town. It's a cool little fishing town, very small town feel with one main street full of boutiques,  shops, a wine bar and a brewery and two eateries..a diner and a lobster place. Some local vendors set up tents along the streets selling jewelry and art, a few food trucks as well. We stopped at the wine bar, which was very overwhelmed.  It took almost 30 minutes to get the order taken, and we could just tell they weren't sure how to handle a constant flow of customers. After that we walked around a little and went back to the tender,  which was about a 20 minute wait to get on (nothing like the hundreds of people waiting to go back when we got there around 1230pm).  Glad we stopped just to check it out, now just relaxing on out balcony trying to figure out dinner.

Oh I forgot to mention, our Anniversary is next month so we mentioned at reservation time that today was our anniversary, so today our room attendant brought us a big cake made of towels, lol
