Celebrity Constellation Change of Ports

We have booked the 18 Jan 2026 sailing as we were looking forward to  the ports of Key West and Grand Bahama Island but they are now taken off and replaced by Costa Maya and Cozumel. Key West etc., is still shown for 2025, any idea why they have cancelled these 2 ports as we were looking forward to going there but have been to Mexico before? Thanks.

With this being a year plus out, these type of changes can happen very easily with ports.  Key west like mentioned is definitely trying to limit the ships, well a group of people are trying to limit the ships but that is changing all the time there.

Can you cancel a cruise with no financial penalty if they change the ports before you sail?

Yes if you have a refundable, and still prior to 90 days otherwise it's all in the cruise contract about changes etc can be made to itineraries overall.

Seems weird that they can completely change your itinerary and if it’s non refundable you can’t do a thing about it.

Its a contract its up to the user to read it and understand what and what can happen, with that, if the itinerary is completely changed, ie ship is moved to new location and so forth than they will probably allow you, but substituting one stop for another on a cruise its usual.  A couple of my stops have been changed for various reasons on cruises that I have done, or coming up.   image.thumb.png.5a039845a3520ac6ae06892731b69d06.png

We have KW as a port on our 4 day Silho cruise in Dec 2024

Already booked an X excursion and  Specialty dinner to katch port times.

Would be sad to.miss this port as .we know it is slowly being phased out.

Costa Maya & Cozumel make it a W Carib cruise..hope OP can cancel or switch if desired!

Is it just a 3-4 day cruise with only those two ports?  If so it’s now an entirely different cruise so you may be able to plead your case.  It’s definitely worth a call.

No it is longer but I just wondered if it was like Venice where they are banning cruise ships. Thought someone might know why the ports have changed in 2026?

As others have said, Key West can be iffy, but not sure what’s going on with Grand Bahama.

Don't know, but Key West citizens have been trying to limit cruise ships docking there for the past couple of years.

The residents overwhelming voted to ban the larger cruise ships....but our Governor reversed their decision to let them in.  😲
