I think it’s been about 6 years since my last Crystal cruise. We loved the intimate magician show.  

 

We have a Caribbean cruise booked over Thanksgiving.  Does the New Crystal still have that show?

I can speak about Serenity which you are on.   The answer is not on every cruise and evidently it is based on the length of itinerary and the mix of port versus sea days.

There is a magician onboard our current Serenity cruise. However, it is an 18 cruise with 12 sea days. If you are sailing on the 7-day Ft. Lauderdale-San Juan cruise, there is currently a magician scheduled to be onboard.

That's great news Rob, as we are on that cruise as well. When we were onboard recently, we were told that there would not be a magician on cruises of seven nights or less. Looks like this may have changed, as this is a seven night cruise.

The old Crystal had an official relationship with the Magic Castle, and thus the intimate shows were a regular feature.  The relationship was terminated shortly before the pandemic, and Crystal was going to provide their own similar shows.  On new Crystal, they may or may not as they see fit.

New Crystal is providing the Magician. The only difference is that it is itinerary specific.

Good news. Just noticed Entertainment has its own tab now. It’s between Ship Overview and Offers.

I looked a one cruise and 2 lectuers were included under entertainment, haven't checked others,

Besides the lecturers and headline entertainers that are on the tab, I was thinking the dance team and hosts, the Odyssey art instructors, the golf pro, the clergy, the lounge pianists, and key senior staff - captain, cruise director, etc.

I second what Crickette posted above. We used to be able to view  captain, hotel director, cruise director, Avenue saloon entertainer, Crystal cove pianist, violinist, ambassador hosts, Latin dance duo, art instructor, bridge instructor, cu at sea staff, golf pro, clergy. Please Crystal bring this back! I know people are emailing guest relations to get this information - it would save guest relations time tracking down this information and responding to guest inquiries if Crystal would post this information with the entertainers on the web site. Thank you!

 I looked at a cruise I have booked and it lists 2 enrichment lecturers and 5 entertainers however, when I clicked on the participating voyages tab for each of them only 2 out of the 7 have that cruise listed!!!!!!

Are you looking at it from inside a voyage, or at the global level?  Inside a voyage (at least until recently if it’s changing) it only listed the OTHER voyages an entertainer was participating on, not including that one currently displayed.  The button should probably say something along the lines of “Other participating voyages” inside a voyage, and be have a separate translation from the button ion the global page.
