Last night was a girls night💅🏻

New nail polish on the feet 👣 and just having fun at the room. Called Charlottes parents and had a conversation with Mr🥰

 

We started our day in slow motion. 

Breakfast around 09.00 and no stress. 

After breakfast I needed 15.minutes to take care of a bob the builder issue🔨🔨

 

Then it was back on track for today’s plan. 

A visit to Acropolis museum. 

 

We walked from our hotel at 10.00 to the museum. It’s a nice walk, 20.minutes our speed and a great way to see the city on foot 🦶 for Charlotte. 

I ordered tickets online on the go, it was available in all time slots before we left from home the entire week. (I would not recommend to do this in hige season🤓 they sell out) 

 

It’s not allowed to take photos inside the museum. 

 

We toured the inside part and watched the movie. 

Then we decided it was time for a little coffee break☕️ 

 

 

The cafe at the acropolis museum has a perfect 👌🏻 balcony for a view😎

 

After our coffee stop, we continued downstairs to the basement where you will see the ruins. 

You need to go out the main entrance and down under the museum. (Remember to keep your ticket 🎫) 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

After a stroll through the ruins, we went out of the museum. 

We spent 3h in the museum.

Museums do make you hungry…..

So it was time for a little lunch😋

 

Well well…. We are in Greece 🇬🇷 

What else? GYROS 😆

 

We walked from the museum in direction of Syntagma and “downtown” 

Found a spot for gyros 😋😋

 

 

Who doesn’t like this? 

 

After our gyros luncheon it was time for some Greek 🇬🇷 dessert…..

Lukumades & ice cream 

 

What’s not to like about this? 

(Well it’s good…. But me, myself and my tummy are agreeing that it is a bit overkill for me😝🤭) 

Charlotte loved it 😋

 

The food coma was starting to kick in, so we took a stroll around town. We walked in the flea market area, didn’t buy anything😜 

 

I had promised Charlotte to go to Little Kook. 

Last time it was SnowWhite themed. 

Now it was Halloween 🎃 themed. 

 

We took some pictures and Charlotte decided that we didn’t need to have a drink or two here😝 Trick or Treat 👻 (she’s not a great fan of horror) 

 

So we walked in direction of Omonia. 

As we arrived at Omonia the sky turned gray and the sky looked wet…. 💦 

I said we need to just stop here under the roof for a few minutes it will be very wet in a minute or two……. Oh yes 👍🏻 I was right☔️☔️☔️

It poured down for 15.minutes. 

 

When the rain lifted we walked over to Veneti bakery. 

Charlotte wanted some coffee ☕️ and a little snack for later today🥐 

We had something to drink and then Charlotte decided for what she wanted to go for later🍴

 

We had to do a little shopping at Hondos centre. (They have everything in make up, perfume and souvenirs😝) Charlotte needed to pick up something….

 

Then I said it’s time to go back to the hotel…..

I’m done for the day🤪🤪🤪

lol that's like when I watch movies of London and they have clips from west London and then it cuts to another location that's like miles away and try to make it look like its next to each other. Or locations no where near water yet suddenly are crossing the Thames.

 

Or tower bridge being called London bridge - the giveaway are the towers.

What day is it? 

It’s CRUISING DAY⚓️🍾🥳

 

CD Kelly are still onboard according to my app…. We hope she has brought onboard some good guest entertainers🎶🎵🎶 

And I see that she still practicing the awful solution of one show at 21.00 first night and a port talk at 19.00 show time🫣😩 

Well, we can’t be all pleased😜 

( I hoped she would only practice this on the short 7-n cruises) 

You all know my habit…. Show, dinner, bed….🤭

(And a port talk do NOT count as a show🤣) 

 

This is officially my 25 cruise on X🥂💙🇬🇷 Cheers to this⚓️ 

And I’m very happy that it is on a Millennium class ship💙⚓️💙 My golden oldies are the best⚓️ 

 

Charlotte has almost elevated over the bed during the night🤣🤣 She is SO ready to walk the gangway and see a REAL cruise ship. 

She was absolutely sure we had an inside cabin🤭 when we talked last night….

Her grandmother & grandfather on her mother’s side sail on Mariella cruises from the canary island during winter season a few times… 

Grandfather was more el cheapo than me🤭🤣 So they just did inside cabins and spent the rest in the casino🤣💰💰

So Charlotte was absolutely safe in her mind that we stayed in an inside cabin…. 

So i told her we are downstairs under the car deck 🚗🚙🚗🚙🤭

 

It took a few minutes before she realised…. This ship is not Color Line Oslo-Kiel….

There’s NO car deck on our ship!

Metro from Omonia to Piraeus⚓️

 

So a good little stretch on our feet 👣 and work out before the food feast begins😜

We walked by the churches ⛪️ so Charlotte could go for a walk inside👍🏻

 

 

 

I was dedicated luggage keeper. 

 

We arrived at pier C at 12.05. 

Dropped off our luggage and was greeted into tent 2. The waiting box. It was less crowded than in June🙌🏻

We received number 13. 

 

After a minute they called group 21🤔🤔🤔

50% of the tent walked out😅 Something tells me they have a error in counting😂😂

 

5.more minutes and group 22 called. 

50% again left the tent…. 

So a big tent…. 20 people ish and we are number 13…..

 

🥳🥳🥳🥳

5.minutes later…. Group 13 and a empty tent😎

 

We walked over to the check in building and security. 

It was 2.minutes waiting time for checking in. Another 10.minutes for security🙃

At 12.45 we pinged onboard down on deck 1⚓️

It’s not the most exciting port and gangway solution💙🥳💙 

But we are officially onboard! 

 

We went straight to muster station A1 in the theatre deck 5. 

 

Then it was time for some lunch🍴🍴🍴

It was really quiet in the buffet, I was expecting a full house and a crazy vibe….

NO…. 

All very peaceful and quiet😌

 

I took Charlotte for a grand tour around the buffet, so she would understand where to find food. 

We went out on the terrace and found a nice table by the railing😎

 

I had my salad and Charlotte went for a potpourri of everything😁 (she is a buffet girl😅) 

 

After lunch and some club sodas, it was time to go to our home away from home 🏡

We went 20.15 and the line was loooong😝

No stress, we are not in a hurry🤪🤪🤪

 

At 20.55 we finally got a blink and a shake 🫨🤣🚨

It was really a first night crazy night tonight🫨

 

We were seated at table

 

Tonight’s menu 

 

Service started good. 

Assistant waiter asked water preference and fixed us some drinking glasses. 

 

Main waiter arrived and took orders and wine preferences. 

We asked for a sweet to Charlotte and a dry white wine for me….

We went for beetroot salad, jerk chicken and seared salmon. 

Then it went downhill with service, guest hospitality and everything🤣🤪🤣

 

After receiving our starters and eating up, our main waiter arrived holding 2 bottles of rose wine…. 

I said I’m sorry but we asked for white wine🤪

Since he was there holding the good dry rose, I told him to pour me a glass😅

 

After another 5.minutes our sommelier arrived and got Charlotte a glass of white wine🤗

 

 

The beetroot salad was good as usual. 

The jerk chicken was soft and juicy. Charlotte really enjoyed it👌🏻

My salmon was a bit dry and really nothing to give 10/10 for. 

 

When our mains arrived, our main waiter placed wrong food on wrong person. He just seemed off…

Then we didn’t see him anymore until we left. 

 

Dessert 

 

We had creme brulee and cheese cake

 

 

 

It saw Irwin, the gate keeper. He was on the other desk downstairs, seating those who had reserved a table beforehand in the app. 

He was super occupied with the crazy evening🤪🤭🤪 So I couldn’t get in contact. (But I think we need to have a little chat…. ) we will see if we can get a fixed table or a nice zone… 

I’m really not impressed.

Peaceful and quiet out on deck.

It was busy but still tables further back. 

 

I picked up some muesli and yogurt. And then went for a table at the terrace.

As you know probably know from my posts we usually book suites…A few times as we have put together our ‘potpourri’ of tasty bits in the buffet we have been approached by the M’D reminding us that we can dine in Luminae, get our butler to serve room service….However, some mornings there is simply nothing nicer than a potpourri of everything you like in the fresh air!
