Liberty of the Seas, 26 Sept 2024: Semi-Live or Not ... Times-a-changing, perhaps. Return to RCL after 10+ years

... would still like to hear your opinions 😁

I see, okay.  NCL has the upper hand, at least, over some of the Royal's dessert choices, i.e. flan and creme brulee.

As for starter or appetizers, and entrees in the restaurant, without upcharge, I will be more certain after tonight's 2nd theme/gala/formal night 😁

Stay tuned for menu & images - about 1 hour from now, doors open at early seating at 17:00   We just walk right in to Table 300, without the need to approach the host/ess podium and whisper & show our Diamond cards to see if we can be "mercifully" granted priority seating consideration, under freestyle dining where we are no longer able to make MDR reservations for 2, 3, 4 or 5.  Of course, this is going off-topic.

We've been able to order additional items and/or entrees to share on Royal, just like Cunard ... except for lobster tail.

Crowded AFT elevators during dinner time, we opted to walk down again, easy for us - Deck 8 to 3, not true for others with mobility issues and or in a scooter, etc.

That avocado has seen better days. Hope the food tasted better than it looked?

Generally speaking, they are - as far as we are concerned - washy washy encouraged but most aren't religious and indifferent about it ... besides, a quarter-sized sanitizer alone isn't going to make a difference.  No signs of norovirus being around, yet.

The rest of that fruit plate was fine and tasted good enough.

Hand sanitizer is not effective against norovirus...washy washy is a must.

** NCL's Breakaway at Saint John, 7 AM to 3 PM

saint john ship schedule https://www.sjport.com/cruise-schedule shows the breakaway as 3:20 am to 3pm. ship ais tracker seems to match that 3am time. i wonder how many people get off that early if its possible. most likely the ship wont get clearance until like 6/7

Let us know, yes ... and I am guessing you won't be hosting the cabin crawl up there #14500

Meanwhile, we continued to go slow, to sail & sustain - full sea day toward Saint John.

Came close on Gem.  Last days of the fairy could of had 14000 for DW and I but Price Not Right.  If had kids, yes.

Settled for our already booked 15500 and to burn off food hiking the 17 stairs up to watch pool activities and people get stuck on no longer slide.  Did not try slide again as I recalled first Gem trip in 2008 in Med where I had to self assist to get to bottom.

That last trip was San Juan to NYC with yet another debarkation without a sign with our names outside terminal.

Looking to book five or six in spring, will be on a three letter line, not starting with 'N'.

Have a good day ashore.

News lower 48, strike originally posted both coasts but only East and Gulf.

Run on TP as apparently US is net importer of the stuff VS producer.  Who knew??  Put on vest, go to public restrooms on the ship and load up.

Rest of us continue to go to work so you can continue to sail and sustain.

Thanks. Going with M 😁

Light brunch was good. Gangway cleared at 11:10 and the elevators packing full again to access gangway, Deck 4.  Move the command post to Windjammer so that Mrs can use her iPad over cellular Wi-Fi.

Looks like many have the same idea, staying onboard as it's pretty busy here at noon.

Airborne, droplets and contact precautions / alerts - coughing music are on the uptick and exercising personal precautions & taking responsibility strongly urged or advised.  Use of masks, remaining low at under 10%.  No further elaborations needed, IMHO 😷

We arrived in St john at 4am last month on Princess, but gangway wasn't until 0700
