Taking the solo plunge into cruising

Lois,

How was the Millenium cruise? Hope she was in great shape after the repair. I found a good deal on RCCL for the Mariner this fall in Oct so I may take that for my fall cruise. I guess, a good deal for RCCL but I had a C&A coupon as well which helped and this would be my first Diamond member cruise. Hopefully someday I can make it back to Celebrity but they are almost always 200%.

As mentioned Carnival does have some 1A cabins for singles that are priced pretty good for singles. I highly recommend going with a Guarantee with them if possible because I have had Great luck with Carnival as far as upgrades go. The only real problem is I really prefer Celebrity, Princess or RCCL but I will give Carnival credit for trying to help singles out better than most and I would sail on them again with their newer ships.

Hi Vince, I had a fabulous time:) and wrote a review. It is on

the 1st page of the Celebrity Board if you care to read it.

I know they are always double for a solo....fortunetly I have

had the funds to sail with them.

Millennium looked in excellent shape to me. The staff and crew

were all outstanding, food was super and overall I had a wonderful

week.

We had a great group from these boards too.

What week in October are you sailing on Mariner?

Oh, Vince, Have a Happy New Year:)

Lois, The sailing date is Oct 14 on the Eastern Carib. I have been to the Western so much I prefer the Eastern especially because I love St. John's.
