Hi Sarah,

Don’t give up hope on the Rhapsody. Word has it that a Concierge Lounge is supposed to be added during its next scheduled dry dock – February 9, 2007! :) When are you thinking about sailing on her?

Take care,

Suzy B

The concierge club is a private lounge and access to it is restricted to those who have booked suites (junior suites do not count) or are Diamond or Diamond Plus Crown and Anchor members.

The lounge provides continental breakfast in the morning and complimentary cocktails and hors d'oeuvresfrom about 5:30 pm until 8:30 pm.

The conciergecan assist you in getting reservations to the alternative restaurants, tickets to the Ice Show on Voyager class ships, priority tender tickets, and priority debarkation luggage tags if you need them. He or she is also available to help you in other ways, just as a concierge at a hotel would do.

DVDs are also available for loan if your suite has a DVD player. The concierge lounge has a cappucino machine, RCI online internet connections, and a pleasant and quiet retreat.

Freedom of the Seas has separate lounges for Diamond members and for suite guests. Voyager and Freedomconcierge lounges are large and comfortably furnished interior rooms. The Diamond club on Freedom and the concierge lounge on Radiance class ships and those Vision class to which they have been added, are equally comfortable rooms with glorious views of the ocean.

The lounges are a very nice benefit both for those who book suites and for those loyal passengers who have at least 10 previous cruise [credits] on RCI.

Past passengers on Celebrity who have qualified for its highest level of Captain's Club membership, receive the benefits of RCI's diamond level membership.

On occasion there are so many diamond and diamond plus members on a particular sailing that the line opens a satellite lounge, usually on the top level of the ship near the Viking Crown lounge.

Hope this helps out.

Take care,

Suzy B

My wife nad i are diamond memebrs...she went with my oldest daughter on the VOS last april as a high school graduation gift and used the diamond club.conceriges room and said it was great...they helped her book excursions and set up her tickets for the ice shows...also had internet access there and the free drinks before and after dinner and the coffee and danish in the morning...she said that she felt special...we're booked on the AOS this coming march and can't wait to use this service...i just hope that the other 12 folks in our group to get to upset...i'm assuming that unless you are booked in the cabin then your not getting into the lounge...can diamond members bring plat. members in with them...

I saw mentioned above that there is internet access in the Club. Is this free to guests or is it just an available station and you'd still have to pay for the minutes you use?

We'll be on the Explorer, if that makes a difference.

Thanks!

janaazaz - there is bottled water and soda in your cabin fridge, but they are not free. If you get soda from the concierge lounge, that is complimentary.

Hope this helps. I think the charge is $3 or $4 for water, and $1.50 plus 15% tax for each soft drink you use from your room fridge. The steward will ask you to sign a slip showing this purchase. The charge may be higher, as it's been about a year since we cruised RCI in a suite.

Billsgal- Thanks for the info on the internet.

Cruisinmomma- You know we'll be seeing you in the Concierge Lounge on the Explorer! With early dinner though, we may have to stop in for an after dinner cocktail, but will definitely find time to use the lounge. Especially for my morning coffee.

Just to clarify (not that your wallet will care) - the 15% is the gratuity, NOT tax. :)
