AuzzieCruiser Posted February 22, 2008 #326 Share Posted February 22, 2008 For anyone that was thinking of going to Mrs Macquaries...forget it. There is Mardi Gras' Harbour Party on Sunday from 3pm-11pm. It is going to be at the Fleet steps, so best to avoid that area if you can...crowd wise!! We'll be there 'early' on Sunday, keeping an eye out for any familiar faces.:) What to do afterwards.......hmmm not too sure. May go Mardi Gras Party. Good music and good view of the Queen's as they sail past.:D

Sydney will be a popular place, particularly on the Eastern side.

Kiwi Kruzer Posted February 24, 2008 #340 Share Posted February 24, 2008 What a battle to get on the cams, and when you did some idiot would take the cam off the ships. I think they should issue licences to use them.

Neilius Posted February 24, 2008 #342 Share Posted February 24, 2008 What a battle to get on the cams, and when you did some idiot would take the cam off the ships.I think they should issue licences to use them. The air around my office was blue with all the ranting ad raving I was shouting out when someone "without a license" got hold of the camera. But thankfully it appears quite a few cc'ers managed to wrest control back to be able to capture some decent images, and I captured a fair bit of footage. I'll try and mix it all into a vid asap. Thanks to everyone who kept the cameras pointed in the right direction :)

Thanks to everyone who kept the cameras pointed in the right direction :) My thanks to everyone for keeping the cam in the right direction too. At times like that its a wonder that the "owners " dont take charge and just focus on the action. Several times I got the red bar and too many clients message but when I did get on I would just be ready to save the perfect shot that I had been waiting to frame and the next user would zoom the cam away. Oh well . I guess we should at least be thankful that there is a cam there.
aussiedisneyfan Posted February 24, 2008 #344 Share Posted February 24, 2008 Not long sat down from the bus trip home. We had a great time and it was lucky for us that the Sun Princess was late arriving. We watched her sail past us and she tooted at both Queens. Rare arxcards Posted February 24, 2008 #345 Share Posted February 24, 2008 After months of discussion, the day has passed and how wonderful. Great to meet several more CCers, even from Qld & Vic. Great to renew friendships with several others. Great to spend a weekend with endless views & photo ops of 3 great ships. Great weather, all weekend, Great harbour cruise on Rhythm boat. Yes, disappointing to not see Sunny at Sunrise, but sensational to have to give way and wait for her in Neutral Bay, then follow her under the bridge to Darling Harbour on Rhythm Boat. Great room on 31st floor at 4 seasons. With widest lens, I was just able to get bridge, Vicky & Opera House in the same frame, or Vicky, Opera House & Lizzy as she arrived this morning. Great to get an unexpected final tour of the city, due to poor back seat driving instructions. Great to see the A-League title go to the Jets too. Thanks to Chez for doing the hard yards in organising the Rhythm Boat for today. I heard more than one comment of how ideal this harbour cruise would be for Christmas 2009. Will post photos soon, but sleep is becoming a much sought priority. Cheers Geoff PS - Thanks for organising the ghost tour Karen. It was great fun. ....bang.....bang....bang....bang....
