***LIVE from the Mariner 7/13***

Recommended Posts

Thanks for an indepth look to your cruise this week, it's given Jenn and I a great idea of what to expect and what we want to do.

If you get a chance, can you email me the menus if they were emailed to you? It can definitely wait until you arrive from home and decompress from the great time that you are having.

I too use Splenda but have found these convenient splenda tablets. They come in a very small container that will fit in your pocket 100 or 200 tablets per container. They can be bought at walmart. They are found on cards with a blister pack over the container. They are called splenda minis and it takes 2 tablets to equal one packet. Go to the splenda website to see the package http://www.splenda.com/page.jhtml?id=splenda/products/flavor_minis.inc

Buy them all the time in Publix.

Hey all!!

Ok, the Splenda debate...there were 2 tables out of hundreds that had splenda, and I watched a crew filling a bunch of the containers of sweeteners and splenda wasn't part of the deal. So they ARE here, but you might have to ask or search.

I/QUOTE]Thanks for alll the Splenda updates. This is the more expensive of the diet sweetners and RCI may be cutting back here.

****Splenda Update****

I found TONS of splenda in the Cafe Promenade...so the answer is Yes, there is Splenda here!!

Went to Hip Hop, it was mostly kids, and sad to say they could follow the complicated dance routines better than I. Given time, I could do it...but it was shown too quickly for me. I had to sneak out in disgrace.

Went to the casino, where I proceeded to lose what I had previously won.

Hubby and I have been strolling, pre-ordered our DVD, bought our pictures, talked to people, got coffee and a cookie (yes today makes my 3rd oatmeal raisin cookie that I have had (but only half)). I think they are just wonderful.

I have yet to pack, and you have no idea how I dread packing these 9 bags up!! I will do it after dinner.

Tonight is the farwell show (hope to make it but the packing.....)and farewell dance party at 11. It is not an active night, but a sad one indeed. I am not ready to leave my girlfriend, the Mariner. We need to be in bed at a decent time since we need to out of the room by 8am (means getting up at 6:30am). We have a 9 hour drive ahead of us, and we don't look forward to that at all!!

WHAT AN AWESOME CRUISE!!

I SHOULD get to post again.....

I too thank you for the splenda update and for all of your detailed posts. I have really enjoyed it, but I also can't believe that it is your last night. It did go too quickly. You did seem to make it a wonderful time.

I think I will pack some Splenda just to be safe. I think you probably have to ask for it in most area, which is not a problem. If they are going to cut back on something, Splenda is fine with me, as long as I can bring my own. :)

I have many cool pictures of the Cooper River Bridge. It is mesmerizing and I'm not even an engineer. I love the one just like it in Boston too.

Hubby was stationed in Charleston right before he got out of the Navy. I miss it soo much! :(

I love the bridge. Ever since I left I make a point to do the 10K Cooper River Run in April. It is a really incredible experience to run the bridge. :D

Just found your thread and I have enjoyed reading it so much! We just got off the Mariner on the 13th - last ones to leave the ship (literally!) and tried our best to figure out a way to stay on, lol!

Sounds like you have had a great cruise...I am suffering from severe PCD and your posts help!

Safe travels home!

This will be my last post from the Mariner. I again, thank you all for joining me on her. I purchased the DVD (seems I am in it quite a few times:eek: ) so I will re-live this cruise for a long time to come.

This evening FLEW by. After dinner we went to the Casino, then at 9 to the Farewell Show, then we ended up in the casino till about 11:30. Hubby, son, and I played blackjack together and had a nice run. We came up at 11:30 and finished packing and put the suitcases out at midnight. Sad, sad, sad. I really am not ready to let this cruise come to an end. BEST cruise to date!!!

We are due to get off about 7:30am..so we need to be up now at 5:30 and out of the room by 7. Talk to you all soon............

20 days till we sail The Mariner, can't wait!

Your thread really got us more and more excited.

Just wondering, how much did it cost you for your internet time.

Looking forward to any other hints you have.

Thanks for posting.

Denise,

Thank you so much for including all of us on your cruise this week! It's been a ton of fun "going with you"! Can't wait to see the pics and your official review! Did you disembark kicking and screaming? (I always do, but they have yet to let me stay...it's just wrong!)

Thanks too for getting the wine info for me from Vintages. I'll be hunting down a bottle here and first toast is to you my friend!

Hope your drive home was ok, I know it stinks going that direction...away from your ship!

I agree on being OK with them cutting Splenda. I buy the big box of packets at Sam's Club, so I always have plenty. Easy enough to shove in a small pocket somewhere.

Thanks so much for the **Splenda Updates**!!

I love your reports! We set sail on Aug. 10 and I'm ready for it to be tomorrow!

I know you posted early in the week that you would post dining room menus. Any luck getting those? My Dh and I have never done a specialty restaurant, but we're considering it for this trip...just want to know what night is when so we can decide whether or not we'll take the plunge!

I hope your last couple days feel like they last forever! Enjoy Quest tonight!

The meet 'n mingle crew for the 8/3 sailing is a lively one. But we promise to leave some food and drink and plenty of good times for the 8/10 sailing.

Thanks for taking us along on your cruise! Cant wait until our next one! (I so wish RCI would give us northeasterners a small year round ship, even to nowhere!) lol

I look foward to reading your review and seeing pictures!

(now to backtrack the last days posts that I missed!
