***LIVE from the Mariner 7/13***

Hey all!!

ILast night was a strawberry, kiwi and pineapple medly (yum), vidala onion tart, hot and sour shrimp soup, chilled watermelon gazpacho, caesar salad, spinach salad.....shrimp ravioli, linguini, atlantic cod, pork medallions, chicken breast (not the best), prime rib, top sirlion, aloo gobi melki.

This is closer to the first night menu that we are used to but last week's eastern itinerary had a different menu.

Hi all,

I just got off the phone with Denice and they're having a great time! I gave her 20 lashes for not posting too often but she said she will around 2 today as they are going to Labradee! She may be too drunk though from drinking too many virgin Labradoozies!

Palms. ty for updating..been trying to call you for the last hour but I can hear you, you can't hear me.

ok here goes.......

Had dinner in Chops last night. It was Fantastic as usual. Our waiter, Shubert, was the most endearing young man. He was warm, friendly and wonderful. He ranks #1 in our book. I took pictures of all the food, which I will post on my return. Some things we had....onion soup, shrimp cocktail, salmon, halibut, filets. Saw the show last night..it was ok. The singers were excellent, the dancers so-so. At 10:15 we went to a game show that was fFnish the Lyrics. Many of our roll call gang was there so that was nice. They wanted 6 people, I made my way on stage, but was elimated in the first round. But it was sooo much fun to watch. A 23 year old kid won and he was awesome. Went to see the laste night comedian..he was so-so. But its still nice to go to them.

 

We are in Labadee, tendered over about 9:30. We went to our favorite beach, Barefoot, and it did not dissapoint. Many of the roll call gang was there too, so we chatted in the water on our mats. Hubby and son did the waverunners again, daughter did the zipline for the first time...she LOVED it!!. We left about 1ish, came back and showered. as soon as I post this we are going to stoll the ship and get coffee. Nothing like cruising!!

Tonight is the Abba show..LOVE THE MUSIC! At 10:15 is the big 70s song tribute on the Promenade. We have the Crown and Anchor reception tonight also. Plus the casino, of course!

Hi There!

I can't believe it!!! I'm addicted to your live thread....The first thing I do when I walk into the house is check to see if you've written! BG thinks I'm nuts (it's sooo unlike me). He says hello!

Denice...do they sell Sheridan Coffee Liqueur on your ship???? (It's the one with the twin attached bottles...one brown and one white) They don't sell it here in NC.....How much is it???? BTW, Marmalade just told me about her nickname...Did I get one???

Hi Denice.....glad you are having a great time....We're looking forward to trying CHOPS....neither the Voyager or Explorer had one.

 

Two quick questions: which nights are formal nights and when are the ice skating shows scheduled?

Hi Denice, did you ever check back with hubby re: how much was the acupuncture session, how long it was, and who was the best operator who made him feel really good? Also, if you get a chance to take a pic of the white wine bottle listing (particularly rieslings), that would be great. Keep enjoying the cruise. Only 18 more days for us!!

hope your having a wonderful time. could you do me one favor?? if you get the chance, can you find out when capt per will be going on vacation, and if in fact capt johnny will be taking over?? if you dont have the time/oppurtunity i understand.....

I emailed Royal Caribbean and asked who would be the Captain for our cruise August 3rd, and they stated it would be Capt Johnny. Not sure if that week is his first week back or not.

Ate in the dinning room tonight. The couple we sit with was more talkative...he is an IT guy, she a rural family doctor in Mississippi. Dinner included appetizers: scallop risotto, garlic soup (yum), minestrone soup, strawberry bisque (delish!) main course: rigatoni pasta, garlic tiger shrimp (daughter loved it) atlanic cod, chicken marsala (it was ok), kaju paneer Dhansak.

 

We went to the ABBA show. The singers were EXCELLENT, but the dancing was lacking. The energy was there and it was great fun to watch and listen to and sing along to. Then the promenade filled with people watching crew sing and dance to 70s music. We were all grooving. Hubby in the casino, I will join him and hope to be in bed by 1.

 

Tomorrow we are in Ochos Rios. We need to rest from this vacation (lol) so we are sleeping late and then I will go up on deck and get the glorious sun and we will just relax. I should get to post a lot tomorrow. Tomorrow night is cruise-give-away bingo, Love and Marriage Show (we were in it last year on the Explorer) which we will try out for and of course we have the ice show at 9. At 11:15 there is a Fresh Pineapple Bar on the pool deck.

Just wanted to say hi and that I am loving reading your posts!! I will be sailing on her August 10th on the same stops. So its really getting me all excited!! :D I was wondering if you could find out how much mixed drinks (liquor) are, if not no biggie. Have a wonderful time!!

I have a question about Labadee. We have been there 3x. We always walk to the right and have a helper find us a great spot & bring our lounge chairs. We're always near bathrooms, the BBQ and directly in front of the blow-up water park. We also usually jet skii while there. Not sure I want to zip line over water, the first time I zip I want to be in the rainforest...but so glad to hear DD enjoyed it!

 

I didnt know there wwre different names to the areas/beaches on Labadee- which is Barefoot beach and where abouts is it when you walk off the dock from the tender? One of our stops on the Holiday cruise is Labadee, Im excited for it again!

 

By the way, that roasted garlic soup was amazing!
