Much better! I have changed back into me!!

When I woke and IMMEDIATLY ran to the computer to come on this thread (hubby was in shower), I saw the page open and thought hubby had KNOWN I would run to it and had it open and ready for me and I just started reading and posted. Didn't know he had signed in under his name and was catching up on the thread. He CLAIMS to rarely read them...but I think while at work he has been secretly following my roll call thread and won't admit it;)

My plans to catch some rays at the pool are nixed. It is very cloudy here. I will not say I am not dissapointed, because I am, but that's ok because.....I BOARD THE MARINER TOMORROW!!!! (I know, I really should be more excited:D )

HI Denice......Have a GREAT time!!!!! Your excitement makes us more eager to board the ship in TWO weeks. Enjoy your day in Florida today!

Thank you, Ronnie!!

As someone who was on my cruise last July, you know that is the critiera from which I compare this cruise to...except I expect this cruise to SURPASS that one, just as I am sure you expect yours on the 27th to do also. We had an amazing cruise on the Explorer, but I know this Mariner cruise will be the BEST yet. I am glad I get to report it to you, and others who will be on it, in advance, and that yours is the Western too. You know from last year's LIVE report that I will give as much info as I can on menus, activities etc. Although I thought starting this thread early would let me channel some of the excitement, it is only fueling it (I am sure that comes as no surprise to those who know me...lol)

I actually will be passing on my FAVORITE weird shapped dinner rolls...I am on WW and intend on sticking close to it on the ship. I have lost 14 pounds and don't intend on letting a pound back on!! I don't think I will get to the gym on board, but I tend to walk ALOT on the ship and will be avoiding the elevators completely (ok, so it sounds good in theory, but I am going to do my best). Since you know I am not one to relax, I am hoping my always being in motion will keep the things I eat in bay.

Can"t wait to get into the casino...a new casino makes me drool..more than food!!!:D

The sun came out for about 45 minutes and I refused to let a single minute pass without being in it, so I ran down. We are staying at the Orlando World Center Resort which is HUGE! We will be checking out in about an hour, and heading for the one hour drive to our hotel Cocoa Beach hotel. Then tonight we are meeting some of our shipmates from our Roll Call for dinner. Finally meeting them will take this cruise a step closer.

I think I will mention now, rather than take time from essential cruise posting, to mention hubby and I have a JS, and kids a D1. On the Voyager, Jewel, and the first Explorer cruise, we had an OS. But having one bathroom for 4 of us for 9 days grew old, and decided to do 2 rooms from now on. It was a wise decision (and cheaper one:D ).

OMG! I Cant beleive I didnt find you until the 61st post!! Damn offline stuff interferring with my CC time! LOL

Okay, whew. I cant wait to sail with you, albeit virtually. Let me know if there is still a "Jade" restaurant on board Mariner and if you hear any reveiws if it is 'real' Sushi or only Japanese.

Denice,

I have a question. I've seen different posts on this, but just how many hangars are there in the cabins? Any way you can find out if your JS has more than an interior which is what I'll have on the 27th? I'd like to avoid bringing extra hangars if at all possible, but will if necessary 'cause I prefer hanging my tops than folding them in drawers. THANKS!!!!

Hi Sara,

I had the JS on the Explorer...in fact it is the exact same room # and location as the one I have on the Mariner. Most people would probably say there are enough hangers, but from someone like me who brings as many clothes and luggage as I do, there are never enough and I and pack my own...about 30 of them (the wire with the white tube..from the cleaners). But I have no problem doing a count for you.

Well funny story about Cocoa Beach too...we are having TORRENTIAL downpours right now with lightning and thunder and we are trapped inside...lol.

I WANT TO BE REALLY LIVE FROM THE MARINER ALREADY!!!

We passed the pier coming here, there was a Carnival ship docked, and my heart started pounding a bit faster!

I bet it was the Glory! We sailed on the Glory last July:D and I believe it uses the same pier as the Mariner!! (We're on teh Mariner in December!:D )

I'm getting so excited for you!!! Have a WONDERFUL time!! Too bad about the rain today, though!:(

Sara,

We usually stay in a JS on Mariner and there are never enough hangers for me. Having said that, I pack all our clothes by outfits into dry cleaner bags. I use the hangers that the cleaner provides. I put one or two outfits per bag. The clothes aren't wrinkled at all and when it comes time to unpack, just taking the bags out of the suitcase and hanging them in the closet is easy. Same goes for repacking the clothes I brought that we didn't use.

Denice,

Will you please let us know if tomorrow night prime rib is still served? I have been reading the thread from this week and it wasn't mentioned. Hopefully, the rib and vidalia tarts are available. Two of my favorites. Thanks so much and enjoy. I am jealous. We have to wait until October for our Mariner cruise.

I LOVE the Vidalia tart too!!

I will make sure I find out, as I will post each day's menus. On the Explorer I got the concerige to email me the 9 day menu, so it was easy to post daily...hopefully I can get that again.
