Desert Cruizers Posted December 16, 2008 #360 Share Posted December 16, 2008 Genghis, that is an impressive place to visit, isn't it. We stopped by with our RV club last year after seeing the Balloon Festival in Alberqueque, NM. We stood at that very site during our running around. Never ceases to take my breath away standing on the rim. I never have dedicated an appropriate amount of time there, always left it thinking I would be back again and again. Rare pierces Posted December 21, 2008 #368 Share Posted December 21, 2008 Playing with the new flashes and the granddaughters. The lights were set up for them being seated and they fell over while wrestling... *sigh* BTW...people that photograph kids for a living have earned my respect! Dave

TheRoff Posted December 21, 2008 #372 Share Posted December 21, 2008 Very nice pictures Dave. I wish I had that kind of lighting capability. Grand kids are near impossible to catch in low natural light. Way too fast. And some wear crazy head things.:)
2VaCruzers Posted December 21, 2008 #373 Share Posted December 21, 2008 Brace yourself...it's like trying to herd cats! :D Never had so much fun being frustrated! Dave Actually, I work in an elementary school with the special ed. population so I've developed quite a bit of patience over the past 20 years  Something tells me that dealing with a grandchild will be a little easier than a room full of 5th graders

2VaCruzers Posted December 21, 2008 #375 Share Posted December 21, 2008 Wanna' bet? Well the 5th graders I deal with have a host of other issues (ADD, ADHD, and emotional issues) and some even come with parents who like to try and not give their kids their meds "just to see what would happen". This school is also in an upperclass neighborhood and many of the kids seem to have a sense of "entitlement" that is owed to them. That's not to say that there aren't some really sweet kids there...b/c most of them are. But it only takes a few to make my days sometimes seem really long. But enough about that.
