Hey Joel,:) did you happen to meet the F&B man? Ludwig? Would

you know if he was called Ziggy? I swear I met someone by

that same name on a prior cruise...wish I could remember

I’m not sure if we did meet him but there was a friendly German gentleman who would came to our table each night and would comment on our wine selection and food choice. I assumed he was our assistant MD but it seemed he was called the F&B manager during baked Alaska night but I could be wrong.

Sonia Gruber was the Hotel Director on the Galaxy 10/07 Rome to Black Sea cruise. Not very adept at it. We have a lot of hotel people in our family and have a reasonable basis for comparison. Lots of people unhappy with the standard she kept. Poor resolution of major problems. Hope she is not on the Merc or the Equinox this year.

I did talk to my son on vacation this am though, and he said Samantha Brown and Rick Steves were at a travel show in LA this weekend, handing out 100.00 off on trips.

her many shows.

I am not a fan of hers, but when I saw "The Bay Area" I watched

it for just that;)

I bet you can find a repeat of this episode.

HOLY COW!!! How did you get all that info - they change ships so frequently, who can keep up? The contracts for entertainers are only 3-6 months. The senior officers, of course, tend to stay on the same ships, but WOW...that's a lot of info.

 

I WISH all the cruiselines would make that info available before sailing!!

I have had the chance to have cocktails with Ziggy a few times on 2 different trips on the Infinity. I did the dirnking he had water. His full name is Zbigniew Lisowsk AKA "Ziggy"

Galaxy embarked last night for the 2/20 sailing and she only

has one more....March 2nd is her final voyage with Celebrity.

Donald, I believe CC Hostess is Rhonda from England. She joined the Mercury last October (returning to Celebrity after an 8 year absence) and she told us she would be on the ship until April. Rhonda is a very, very nice lady!

We just returned from the Solstice and Ocha was entertaining everyone at the Martini bar.
