Kiwi Kruzer Posted August 10, 2009 Author #154 Share Posted August 10, 2009 i just noticed this on the princess boardhttp://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1038428rkmw from the fifth wheeler blog on board... Our departure was somewhat delayed due to an electrical problem with the starboard propulsion engine. The dutiful Captain kept us informed as our evening routine carried on uninterrupted. We are due to arrive in Bermuda in two and half days time. I’m sure our four hour delayed departure will be absorbed as we continue full steam ahead! http://www.fifthwheelerboyz.blogspot.com/

Gold Coast Cruisers Posted August 11, 2009 #156 Share Posted August 11, 2009 Isn't it strange, they're in the Bermuda Triangle, they have an Engine problem, then there is reported a missing person. Hope all is OK. Hope the next blog from Sherrie is before I go to bed tonight so we can find out what happened. Jillybean:)

Kiwi Kruzer Posted August 11, 2009 Author #159 Share Posted August 11, 2009 seems they are still having problems ... according the boyz blog they are still running late and wont be berthing in Burmuda till the morning instead of the night before....http://www.fifthwheelerboyz.blogspot.com/joanne Thanks for the alert Joanne. I was just checking the web cam and wondered why there still at sea? The sea scanner site has them alongside now, but just goes to show that must all be pre loaded into their system. Kiwi_cruiser Posted August 11, 2009 #160 Share Posted August 11, 2009 I was just reading Fifthwheelerboyz (From the link packetau posted) & in the blog it said We also heard that the ship is changing its registration in Bermuda from London to Hamilton (the capital of Bermuda). The staff have been changing the signage on the tender craft and there’s also a big sign in the forward workshop that looks like it will go on the back of the ship. Does any one know why they are going to do this???

Kiwi Kruzer Posted August 12, 2009 Author #162 Share Posted August 12, 2009 Does any one know why they are going to do this??? No idea, but it would have something to do with tax, insurance, and different countries have different compliance regulations for registration. Gaznjo Posted August 12, 2009 #163 Share Posted August 12, 2009 from what i have googled it seems to be more tax effective.... this other article seems to insinuate that they can get away with a lot more !! http://www.cruisejunkie.com/ot.html joanne

Kiwi Kruzer Posted August 12, 2009 Author #165 Share Posted August 12, 2009 I think the ship ahead of them is Norwegian Dawn. Its an NCL ship , and if so we have 2 Dawns in Bermuda :D:D Next stop New York, New York...
Kiwi_cruiser Posted August 13, 2009 #166 Share Posted August 13, 2009 You are correct Kiwi Kruzer, it is the Norwegian Dawn. Its good that the Dawn Princess is heading for New York, as their could be a Tropical Deression (Tropical Storm) heading for Bermuda in the next few days. Sandielle Posted August 14, 2009 #171 Share Posted August 14, 2009 Great pictures Kiwi Cruiser. I was watching the PD leave Sydney at the same time and was switching from one to the other. Was hoping to see the Statue of Liberty.
Kiwi_cruiser Posted August 14, 2009 #172 Share Posted August 14, 2009 Was hoping to see the Statue of Liberty. It was too dark to see the Statue of Liberty; hopefully some one might capture the Statue of Liberty as the Dawn Princess leaves.
