In San Juan we were not required to leave the ship, there were many of us as the Gem was doing 5 different ports on each 7 day leg.

We cannot finish our check in because we cannot post pictures. So it looks like we will not get our e-docs or luggage tags. What happens if we show up at the Baltimore terminal without tags and with no e-docs?

Got a survey today, mostly about food. Asked me if I would pay for Sorrentos pizza. Hell no was not one of the choices, had to settle for NO. Asked me if I would still sail RCI if there were charges for pizza. Told them I have no trouble ignoring Sorrentos, would be amused to see people paying for that stuff.

Did the same itinerary on Liberty on June 1, gotta agree with your comments on the ship and the food. I'm thinking this itinerary would be better in the fall or spring, it was very hot in June and I'm sure July and August were as hot or hotter. We are thinking of going back if possible in October or November, when their winter baseball league starts up until December.

Was there a reduction in the port fees and taxes? Not going through the canal should reduce that particular expense.

You are flying to NJ from Florida to take a cruise which stops in Canaveral? Guessing the cruise also goes to the Bahamas. Heard there are cruises out of Florida which hit those same ports. I heard you say money is no object and I believe you.

All over the island of Mindanao in the Philippines there have been constant level3 and level4 warnings, but I know Americans who have lived there with no trouble for 15 years. Spoke to some men who do work for the US Navy and they are not allowed to go to Mindanao, so they miss some very good surfing opportunities.

Right now the Sky from Baltimore to Quebec on 9/1/23, 10 nights, is listed at $569pp for an inside, and the return Quebec to Baltimore on 9/11/23 is also 10 nights and selling for $550pp for inside. Hard to beat those prices any time. We paid $669 each way two months ago, gonna give a call to get some FCC. Been watching the prices creep down the last two months, trying to time it to get the max FCC.

You can park at the ABE airport in Bethlehem, only costs $3/night and the first 3 nights are free. Transbridge Bus leaves from the airport the morning of the cruise, about 9 AM. For senior citizens the bus tickets are $58 each round trip, don"t know prices for youngsters. When the cruise ends, the bus loads up around 9-9:30 AM, the ride is non stop in both directions, is about 90 minutes depending on traffic. The bus trip was only revived this Spring for the first time since 2020

Booked on Spectrum next March for a 3 day in Singapore before flying back to Bethlehem, PA via Saudi Arabian Airlines with an 8 hour layover in Saudi Arabia. My wife and I each have 77 C&A points, very interested to check out the food on Spectrum. We also have been to Singapore 3 times previously, love those imported mangoes from Thailand.
