  2. Curious how one poster can report all these negative things happening, yet I haven't seen others reporting it, nor have I personally noticed any of them in the 35 days I've cruised on Oceania the first 5 months of this year.
  3. That's my understanding, but some people think differently. A couple of them do know what they're talking about, some others might be operating from confusion. So at this point I'll just say I'll have to see when I'm onboard. I have a cruise that I booked onboard that was in the current upgrade sale, but no need to re-fare as my price was lower already than the sale price.
  4. I think this might have got a little off track, but I think it's the right thread. For those of you who don't keep up with some other lines. RCG just announced that in the last couple of days that Silversea is now reciprocal with Celebrity & Royal for their loyalty clubs. So, I guess it wouldn't be a big jump for the 3 NCLH brands to do the same.

  6. Are you sure about that? Sounds like Celebrity, which those that have cruised both lines sometimes tend to blur the policies and procedures. I don’t ever remember a portal here on CC for signing up for a M & G for Oceania.

  8. So it reinforces what I wanted to post about. CONSIDER THE SOURCE!. I see people get stuff wrong ALL the time. Not only on FB but here on a regular basis. Right now there are multiple posts that obviously are posted from confusion. I learned a long time ago that people either get it or not, and I don't have much time to waste with those that don't. Try to explain a couple of times then shake the dust from my feet.
  9. Absolutely, and although you shouldn't have to, I've had multiple times over the years that I've produced the document to back up what I was trying to get to happen, and it did.
  10. Do you know what you spent $660 on? The website will not give you all of the information. Also, if your TA is giving you cash you won't have that on the invoice, unless the TA creates one of their own. You should have cards in your room showing what all you have when you access your room. OBC from the TA takes a couple of days to show up. Some of their bookkeeping is old fashioned.

  12. Most of the people that I personally know that describe themselves as a picky or fussy eater would more accurately be described as having a child's palate. Many times I've seen orders of grilled cheese, plain chicken breast, french fries, chips & cheese dip. These are a main order by over age 60 adults.

  14. While highly probable that really hasn't been verified yet, just a lot of assumptions and suppositions. It could be a third party that is doing the survey for them that has an odd email address. I find it funny that everyone has a program that stopped it. I use Avast and usually when it sees something that is not right it has a window that pops up and tells you about it. Also no one here has said it opened a file and infected their computer. Has anyone been contacted by Oceania and told that it is a Phishing scam? Definitely is a strong word without proof.
  15. This is what I was talking about the other day in a post. They will bend over backwards to accommodate Vegan, Celiacs, Vegetarians, etc, but ask for a simple sandwich with meat, cheese and bread and you'd think you asked for the combination to the Purser's safe. What's up with that? Not that I think they shouldn't accommodate people with special dietary concerns, but cmon. It's just silly. My money is as good as theirs, I can't stand lettuce, or tomatoes. I could take them off, and have, but I don't want them touching my other food.

  17. One thing that gets confusing as I read these posts is that you have pre cruise cancellations and during cruise cancelations, without really knowing which one the posters are talking about. It would help those of us trying to follow if that was made clear

  19. Wouldn't it be two separate ships? I don't see how that could be a B2B, unless I'm missing something.
  20. You are making a lot of assumptions that are unfounded. And pretty much all large businesses have multiple wording in their emails. For example, when I booked an excursion we get it from this email. specialservices@oceaniacruises.com, when I booked onboard I got one from this email, noreply@oceaniacruises.com (most common) and others. Then again you might be right, but I don't think so.
