I was excited but way late to the party. RS now $10189.

I had Covid in early July. This was the second bout with it despite being triple vaxed. I asked my doc about Plaxovid right after I tested positive. He said he would get it for me but explained the side effects ,many , and the potential rebound factor. Friend of mine took it and had a bad rebound. I decided against it and was back to normal in about 4 days.

I think if you are on the ship it's too late.

We sailed on the Millennium last year over Thanksgiving. My wife broke her leg a week before the cruise and we ordered a scooter from the company Celebrity recommended. It was supposed to be in our cabin on arrival but was not. She was not looking forward to using crutches around the ship. We were in a celebrity suite and asked the butler for assistance. He was able to track it down and delivered it in about 30 min.It was still down with all the luggage. She parked it right outside the host stand at Luminae every night and would then crutch to the table . The staff were super helpful and accommodating.

Cruising has gained sparkle over the last couple years for me. Have traveled to Las Vegas from the east coast 4 times a year for many years. Yes.....I gamble a lot!! Get "free" rooms but they can be very expensive. Vegas has lost it's sparkle for numerous reasons . The cost of flights is crazy. The gourmet restaurants are priced way to high. Service is not good. I have 3 cruises booked in the next 12 months and am very excited. Despite the negative comments , I love cruising and make the most of my time on a ship.

After seeing a copy of my invoice marked paid late last week ,it changed to showing a balance of $186. On hold with Celebrity for 40 minutes and another 15 for the agent to find the issue. Some of the credit from the casino booking had dropped out. Agent could not fix it but a call to booking agent the next day got it fixed.......FOR NOW. This emphasizes the importance of going old school actually printing and showing up with hard copies at the port.

Sailing with friends on the Beyond on 10/26. They are in the Retreat and are PALL. Earlier this week , he had the same issue but his actually seemed to be canceled. He contacted the agent who booked through the casino and she intervened and straightened it out.

I have to admit I occasionally forget to catch the door when I'm leaving the cabin. Try to be extra careful late at night or early morning. However ,I have NEVER hogged a chair at the pool.

Well said and I agree 100% I have not always taken the traditional approach of tipping on the last day. Usually tip butler and room steward on emabarkation day with a partial tip and then again later in the cruise. I use the $20 ,$50 ,etc.handshake. Last couple cruises I tipped staff in Luminae not realizing the pooled tips. I did tip the host and sommelier .Maybe did not need to tip them. I spend a lot of time, perhaps too much, in the casino and tip the dealers well. It's all positive karma. .

Call the Blue chip Club and ask for a rate on your upcoming cruise. You should also seek out the casino host on your next cruise and ask what level of play they are looking for.

Don't know if I should post this here or under casino stuff. Got an email from BCC listing my current level as Onyx but it looks like I'm just below Amethyst. It looks like Onyx gets some free play and Amethyst gets more. How do I collect the free play on my Ocyober cruise? If I move level up during the cruise , will I get additional free play or will that wait for the next cruise ?

This happened to me at Caesars Palace in Vegas. Playing video poker at the lobby bar and was up $300 .My wife and friends showed up and said we had to run to the cab stand as we were late for a show. I stupidly left the $$ in the machine. Realized it 20 min later and called Caesars security. Had to stop and fill out a report when we returned. I told them what machine it was and what time we left. Checked out the next day and figured it was gone. My screw up. Got a call five day later from Caesars security telling me they reviewed the tapes and a check was on the way for the total amount. Wow. I asked who it was and they would not comment. The cameras see it all.

Just got a text from X .All travelers can cruise and testing protocols easing.

I'm not big on social media but I know of several cases where someone did not get a response until they alerted the social media rep from the company, Twitter ,FB etc.and got the problem fixed. These cases were hotel issues and not cruise lines but worth a shot.

Just spent 30 min on the phone with Celebrity. Was hoping for some clarification prior to boarding the Beyond on 10/26. Rep took me to the Government of Bermuda site with an update from June 3. He was sure that a negative pre-embarkation test would be accepted for admission to Bermuda. Not saying he is correct, but he sounded pretty confident.

That sounds very interesting. The medical team on the ship is going to be required to test 3000+ passengers with a test that takes 15 minutes to confirm. I just cannot see that working.

Just catching up and loving your TR. I went to high school in Suffolk County on Long Island and we frequently jumped on the LIRR.Great memories. Thanks for posting the NYC pics.

Have seen quite a few vlogs about poor wifi on Apex and Edge. Could not find anything on Beyond. Wondering what the experience has been for those who have sailed on Beyond. Any comparisons to the other Edge class ships?

I usually book through the casino. Used to use Blue Chip but starting using an independent casino rep and the service is improved. December Apex holiday cruise I booked my cabin through casino and 3 additional SS1 through a TA. The TA is easy to reach , got additional onboard credit per cabin , and has gone the extra step along the way. I would use her all the time if the casino was not offering discounts for my play.

We are booked on the same cruise and reserved at the Hyatt Regency on the Hudson. Traveling in from Harrisburg ,Pa the day before Looks like it is a few miles away. Our rate was under $300 Don't know the parking situation as we are getting a limo for 4 people.
