  1. Thanks for the review, we sail Beyond in December. We're under 500 points to Zenith but not sure we will make it.
  2. We used an AMEX offer to pay on a cruise that we subsequently cancelled. We were expecting the net amount ($400 per card) as a refund. We got the full amount ($500 per card). I don't know if they could differentiate between payment on a cruise balance or buying OBC.
  3. Are you possibly looking at non refundable on the RS and refundable on the CS?
  4. Several things come to mind and might not apply to all airlines. Cannot pick your own seat Will not get free luggage on an airline branded credit card Less control over flight changes Will not get double miles since you are not paying the airline directly on the branded CC Might not get miles at all Less of a choice of flights, times and airlines We booked air to Alaska through Celebrity when it looked like cruises would be cancelled due to Covid. When we decided to cancel the cruise we were able to cancel the air also. This is the only time we saw an advantage to flights by Celebrity.
  5. Yes, I've seen them and they are more like on board excursions, not specialty dining. I remember when these were free as does @hcat
  6. Possibly, we didn't ask for it because it seems like too much food.
  7. @CypressCajun We have not stayed in an Iconic Suite but hope to LOL. My responses are based on our experience in Penthouse Suites. We have stayed in the PH on Edge with 2 bedrooms. The 2nd bedroom is on the opposite side of the living area from the main bedroom. The bathroom opens either from the 2nd bedroom or the main living area, Jack & Jill style. While maybe a different layout in the IS no room divider will be needed. Unlimited specialty dining includes everything but Dinner on the Edge, Chef's Table and tasting menus in restaurants like Eden. Everything at Raw on 5, including the seafood tower, was included. Not sure about in suite specialty dining. You will be contacted 15 to 30 days pre cruise on average by the shoreside concierge. They will make all your specialty dining reservations. Your butler can change them once on board. Yes you can get oj and the new room service menu includes wine and champagne so no problem there. You will also have 2 bottles of spirits of your choice, or wine/champagne in your suite. Arranged through the shore side concierge.
  8. What does the new California law have to do with bar menus?
  9. There is a Preview CC tier for someone who has not sailed on Celebrity but plans to.
  10. We have sailed in both. While we like the PH on E class, we don't need the 2nd bedroom but that did not stop us from booking it on our next cruise. The big disappointment for us is the lack of a water feature on the deck of the PH on E class, and the deck is not conducive to entertaining, it is just too long and narrow.
  11. Yes, depending on the time of your flight. They will take the luggage from Ft. Lauderdale to the Miami airport.
  12. Smoke and mirrors or kabuki. Take your pick.
  13. Smoke and mirrors, or Kabuki. Take your pick. Guess they will be happy when we all live there.
  14. I see it as less than a beach, more of an amusement park, and I'm too old for that.
  15. It seems like all the cruises stopping there are shorter cruises and I definitely would not book them. If I were on a cruise that stopped there I would just stay on board.
  16. We have been offered the cart on one recent cruise but told it had a broken wheel on another ship. We were offered cheese, just not the cart. We told the server the type of cheese we wanted (mild, strong, soft, etc) and he made a plate for us. The ships were Equinox and Reflection.
  17. Since we have to fly to the port and get there one or two days before the cruise, a short cruise becomes cost prohibitive. We will stick with cruises of at least 7 days, preferably longer.
  18. No, the Sky Lounge is open to everyone. Luminae, The Retreat Lounge and the Retreat Sundeck are reserved for Retreat cruisers.
  19. We both watch it at the same time on the same phone, which is good because my husband doesn't have a smart phone.
  20. My husband got it yesterday. I got it today. Still have to pay for the December cruise so will definitely use it.
  21. I don't think they have been updated since 2019 or thereabout. Probably best to go through some of the later posts for information.
  22. What about Blu and Luminae? does your poll consider them to be MDR?
  23. I saw that post, and even responded. She was quite put out that anyone would dare contradict her.
