  1. No rules about color shirt tie sport jacket slacks will be permissible if that’s your preference it’s the tie that’s required. Lol
  2. Sport jacket is all men need to respect the dress code. On the few nights when a tie is required in Atlantide, you can opt to dine in Hot Rocks or La Terrazza or the pizza place or opt for room service. It really is not an issue. I'm not sure why some passengers even care. I surely do not care what any other passenger is wearing provided that the attire is respectable. Silversea gives you options. Use them In fact, Cunard gives you options too. You can avoid formal attire but it's not as much fun as puttin' on the Ritz IMO
  3. Leave? It was likely cover. Pretty standard practice in the corporate world
  4. We enjoy Cunard but not as our go to line. We are doing a b2b transatlantic in September — our second Cunard cruise We book the queens grill where the food is best. We love the speakers and entertainment and it’s fun to dress up. I can play duplicate bridge every day. Great change of pace
  5. That’s us. We did not bring tie on our previous silversea cruises. We look smashing and elegant but a tie is a non starter. Leaving tues for 3rd cruise on Moon. No tie. Formal nights booked in la terraza and hot rocks. Very doable on Cunard we bring the tux and all the bells and whistles. No need to do so on silversea
  6. That’s what we do. No ties for us
  7. Paul MCO is the most knowledgeable about this. He has been following the process. I will email him and ask him to give an update.
  8. I think it will resolve in your favor. It does not matter how they categorize it; it matters what it is -- it is clearly travel.
  9. We also had an excellent experience. The suite we were moving to was one of the first ones cleaned. I think we were moved in by 10am!! I did pack one suitcase with stuff I wanted to organize myself. So they just moved the suitcase and I handled the rest.
  10. When we went to Antarctica we were told more people suffer from overheating than being too cold because they overdress. Don't overdo it.
  11. We were just on Seabourn for 21 days. We thought the good was vastly improved over previous cruises. I cannot speak to the single policy.
  12. Very sad. We loved an occasional dinner at the pool grill when we were on Splendor.
  13. Do you use a travel agent? You might have the TA write a letter Even better -- escalate to s supervisor. The basic rep can only spout the rules -- cannot take any independent action I cannot believe this wont be rectified.
  14. I am on that cruise and the transatlantic and rt Miami that precede it. Never hurts to plan. there is great food everywhere on the ship
  15. I had an issue with a vendor categorization on my Sapphire Reserve. I called and it got fixed. Definitely worth a call

    Laundry question

    Disgraceful untruth imo
  17. Truthfully I do not see muchsignificant difference. I sail both SS and Seabourn and given comparable itineraries, I would choose SS.
  18. I'm right there with you (along with many of my friends). Crystal's bankruptcy was a blessing as it got us to try SS. You will love it I'm sure.

    Laundry question

    The delusion continues . . . .
  20. We are going on our 3rd cruise on the Moon in two weeks. We love that ship. We have 2 more booked on the Moon and one on the Muse and one on the Whisper( totally itinerary driven) We just love Silversea. We switched from Crystal and we re never going back. I don't think think I am going to care which ship I am on. I think the size of the Muse class ships is perfect.

    Someone asked the question.

    Laundry question

Many of us believe that the folks at Crystal had to have known what was going on and continued to take our money and our bookings. To believe the execs at Crystal did not know what was happening as checks were bouncing all over the place and bills were not being paid is to say they were all ignorant and incompetent.

    Laundry question

If they put a sofa in the kitchen you think people would want to cook their own food?
