  1. Pre-covid, every class but a Studio were able to upbid as long as they did not use a non participating TA. Since the restart even Studios can upbid with the same exception. I have found that it is usually cheaper to pay outright a few weeks before sailing than winning a bid.
  2. Don't know about the Coke but they do take the Starbucks gift cards and app on board.
  3. I am a solo traveler and used my Platinum voucher tonight to treat another solo traveler.
  4. I was told just under 2400. And Captain announced this morning we should arrive in Reykjavik at 6am...a little earlier than planned.
  5. This is correct. I watched several people come down the slide today and the employee at the top told the employee at the bottom which slide was being used (white or blue). They alternated each side. And there was absolutely no screaming...its only about 10 seconds from start to finish.
  6. I am a steerage passenger on this sailing too. Sitting in a hotel in London just waiting for Friday.
  7. Got my approval in 24 hours a few weeks ago so you might want to submit again.
  8. No, only one of the MDRs (either Taste or Savor), O'Sheehans and the buffet.
  9. As long as you are not within 3 days of your sailing (I think that is the cut-off date) you can call and add or delete the offers.
  10. I just did this today via Chat on the NCL website. Took less than 10 minutes...cancelled one night and rescheduled for a different night. No Big Deal.
  11. I just did this in November. It's not as daunting as you make it seem. Get your tender tickets early and get off the ship as soon as possible. You do NOT have to wait for all the tour groups to get off first. We were off the ship and on top before our private tour guide got there, which gave us a few minutes to shop. We had a wonderful day all over the island. He took us to the other side and the top of a monastery, with the clouds rolling in underneath us...truly one of those 'is this really my life?' moments. We went back to Fira for cocktails and appetizers, watching the sun go down...there were very few people there. As soon as it got dark we took the cable car back down and were there in plenty of time to eat dinner on the ship. It was an unforgettable day.
  12. You can use the app also. Your balance won't update but the barista can tell you how much you have left. Works even if you don't have wi-fi.
  13. I am a notorious over packer. My rule of thumb is I have to manage my luggage on my own...if I can't carry it, I can't take it (and I turn down offers for assistance, even if they are young and handsome). I am petite, not young and typically travel solo. I am getting ready for a 12 day cruise, plus 6 days prior in Europe. Temps ranging from 40s in Iceland to 80s in Barcelona. I am slowly weeding out my wardrobe and instead of 3 dresses for dinners, I am down to one LBD with scarves and jewelry. I realize that no one cares what I wear but I dress for me. Do what makes you feel good.
  14. Is this for an airline or PLF? I loaded my documents on Delta for my flight next week and I got a 'pending approval' notice, which was approved within 5 minutes. Don't have to complete my PLF for Spain until Thursday.
  15. Thursday the 6th. Not sure of the time. If I find out, I will post here.
  16. I was on an NCL ship last year in September, October and November. On every ship, they showed 2 games on Sunday (the Local, the big screen by the pool and the DBH), the Sunday and Monday night game and even the Thursday night game. It was also available on your cabin TV on a channel called Sports24 (which was normally soccer or tennis). I am not expecting to see much on my Prima TransAtlantic cruise later this month between being in the North Atlantic and the time differences.
  17. I have never gotten a rejection email, just notification that I won (but I have only not gotten my bid accepted once).
  18. They are doing an invitation only cruise to Halifax and back.
  19. I am going to Spain next week prior to my Prima TA. I completed the form on line up until the part I can do 72 hours before arriving. They will email me at that time to finish and I will get a QR code for entry. Very similar to forms I did last year for Greece and Italy. I believe you will need to show the QR code to board your flight.
  20. Changed back around November 2021. My first 2 cruises in September and October I could check in as soon as I paid in full but when I went to do my November cruise, had to wait until the 21 day mark
  21. I would not do this cruise in December. I did a Canadian cruise out of NY in October and the weather was terrible 2 of the 5 days. And you are correct...the Getaway does not have an indoor pool or hot tub.
  22. Those cocktails look amazing. I am not Diamond but would be willing to pay to try these.
  23. Been on 4 different NCL ships in the past 10 months and all had an MDR open on embarkation day.
  24. Since the first Prima cruise is currently in progress hosting media and travel agents, there are only a few members of CC posting as they can. In addition, this is more of a cold weather cruise so I doubt the Vibe is being used very much. In the past on other ships, the Vibe gives a more exclusive experience and is the opposite of the pool deck. The atmosphere is much more relaxed. There are shaded areas and I do believe (but do not know from experience) that if on the first day it is not your thing, you can request a refund. As for the question of is it worth it, only you can answer that.
  25. Go to you tube and search for Prima studio. There is a very good video there.
