  1. Yup - and I just advertised Princess with some 4-5 year old bags when I went to the store. Love them.
  2. Due to the numerous dry docks the Grand has gone through, the ship has had many changes. It's not the same ship as the one that started service 26 years ago. Here's just on change.
  3. I saw Aardvark in a Walmart Neighborhood store in the SF bay area. Is the price difference worth it? I usually get El Yucatreco Chile Habanero Xxxxtra Hot Sauce and Marie Sharp's Habanero. I also enjoy Mrs Renfros's Ghost Pepper Salsa.
  4. To this hot head, Tabasco sauce is something I would give to a baby. The hotter, the better, with the caveat that the sauce must also have a decent taste.
  5. I would be very careful in using only part of a gift card. I had $327.78 left to pay off my cruise. So, I used a $500 card. They took out the $327.79.m That left me a balance of $672.22! Yes, you read it right. The balance is actually $500 more than it should be. I have been checking the balance ever so often for the past 3-4 months and the balance has always been $672.22.
  6. I was too lazy to clean it up after copying-and-pasting. In any case, it evidently was costing Princess a whole lot of money so now it is not called the Patter.
  7. I'm on vacation. No matter what, I will always use housekeeping.
  8. 9. I used $5000 to pay for the major portion of a cruise in January 2024. Unfortunately, I had to cancel the cruise. I then used $2000 for a cruise in April, leaving me a balance of $3000. I plan on cashing these in at guest services. I think the $1500 OBC per cabin limit someone mentioned was for purchasing OBC through the personalizer.
  10. I don't understand why someone would pay over $100 per person per day and then not use the cabin, entertainment, food,, and other stuff paid for.
  11. Thanks, all. Because I have the Plus package and I don't drink much, I was thinking of getting a couple of cans of beer a day for drinking at home. after the cruise. My plus package is on top of a casino offer. According to my computations, the total coast is only about $100 more than the fare plus tips plus Wi Fi. That additional cost was before Princess decided to charge for Alfredo's and increase Wi Fi prices.
  12. I couldn't find this on the Princess site. With the plus package, can I get beer in a can or is it from the fountain? Thanks
  13. If a ride is requested in advance then there is a surcharge. I use Lyft. In most situations, I get a car within a few minutes.
  14. They definitely do not consider the recipients when the send out mass emails. I've received emails urging me to book my EZ Air flights. Out of curiosity, I checked on the flights between my nearest airport and San Francisco. The best flight came out to about $600 roundtrip and took over 5.5 hours each way. The flights had connections in Los Angeles. Oh, did mention that I live about 20 miles as the crow flies from the pier in San Francisco? I have spent weeks in trying to determine if it was better to fly from Oakland to San Francisco via Los Angeles for over $600 and a total over over 5.5 hours each way. Or, should I take Lyft for about $50 and 1 hour each way from my home to the pier. Stay tuned - I will be making a final decision shortly.
  15. Idiots would by them for the express purpose of hogging chairs. They would think it is funny.
  16. Big price difference between Vonlane and Greyhound BUT Vonlane is a luxury bus. https://vonlane.com/ Noel Phillips (he does a lot of vlogs on air travel) compared Vonlane to a private jet: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZV7Adkx09F8
  17. The only purpose of SFGate and other newspapers (online and offline) is to sell papers. They "hours long delays" probably will not happen. There may be some delays but not "hours long."
  18. There's the problem. Although I have a cruise booked, I still don't know if I can go due to personal medical reasons. If I need to cancel my upcoming cruise, then I will need to see if Princess will refund the gift cards in cash. I will also be completely open with them and tell them that I have $5000 in cards which cost me less due to the AARP discount.
  19. I know it is an error and I do not consider it "free money".
  20. Not only does there not appear to be a limit but of you use only part of a card then you get a refund. I used $328 of a $500 card. The balance is now $672! I've checked this several times since using it back in November. The balance hasn't changed.
  21. I have $5,000 worth of gift cards that I had used to pay for a cruise I needed to cancel. I paid for a cruise so now I have a balance of $3,0872. I was hoping to pay for excursions additional OBC. Sadly, even though the cards were bought from AARP, they are still issued by Princess and Princess won't allow me to buy anything with them outside of the cruise fare. I had planned on using them for excursions. Guess I'll be spending some time at Guest Services converting 10 electronic gift cards. each with a 16-digit code, into OBC As soon as possible after the conversion, I'll head out to the casino, play a few games, and then cash in.
  22. I got the credit, even though I had put in the wrong date for the cruise.
  23. I'm going to see how good they are. I submitted my information but entered this year for my cruise in 2024. I'll report if they denied or corrected the date and gave me the credit. I really don't see the need for both the confirmation number and the cruise date. It's like a ZIP code - if you know the code, you know the place. If you know the confirmation number, then you should know the cruise date.
  24. Mine is not going so fast. I applied twice in the last week or 10 days. Nothing yet. My cruise is 6 months away so they may be doing the credit based on cruise date. (I'm not OCD in most things; when it comes to planning a cruise, I get a little OCD.)
