  1. With the end of your TA and the dueling live reports from you and @mking8288 (as well as his unfortunate discontinuation of his journey), how do you guys expect us to entertain ourselves going forward? I may actually have to talk to Mrs. Schmoopie more, instead of vicariously following you on your adventures. It'll be tough...but I suddenly have a hankering for some hash browns. If only I knew how to cook.
  2. And, appropriately enough, the last picture is cake. 👍
  3. If the OP is disappointed before even getting on the ship, just wait until he's on the ship and discovers there are no hash browns.
  4. I would argue that their customer "service" reps on the ship are just as bad...if not worse. Hence the constant long lines at the "service" desk, only to be told "NO", regardless of the issue.
  5. From NCL: Pay $150 today for $300 off any 6+ day cruise you choose to book when you're ready. The problem is, you can only use certificate at a time. Max value of $300. With the $250 for $500 deal, you get to use one certificate worth $500.
  6. Or they could assign you to their even lower class..."A Wing and a Prayer"...where they actually assign you a seat outside on the wing. The good thing is there's lots of legroom. The bad thing is it gets a bit windy and chilly out there. That's where the prayers come in. Blankets cost extra...for your convenience.
  7. Somebody at NCL needs to update their webpage. In the "Ports" section, this is what it says for Puerto Plata: Port Name & Location Amber Cove Cruise Terminal. Ship will DOCK at this port.
  8. This must have been the shortest sale on record. Two days? Come on, NCL...
  9. Is it just me, or does it look like an MRI? I get claustrophobic just looking at it. (Probably just me...)
  10. Amazing how a thread titled "Service expectations on NCL" can quickly devolve into numerous pages about Door Dash and other home delivery services. Such is life on CC...with nary a hash browns comment.
  11. We had a Greek Isles cruise scheduled for next September but ended up canceling and scheduling a "regular" Mediterranean cruise. One reason was the cable car/donkey path in Santorini seemed like such a hassle. (That wasn't the only reason, but it was up there. Maybe we'll get there some day). Since you didn't mention them, I assume you did not track down the elusive hash browns.
  12. Yeah, it was awesome. You haven't lived until you've had turkey in Turkey.
  13. My sentiments exactly. We did it once a few years ago on the Bliss and my head is still spinning. Or is it my vertigo? At my age, it's hard to tell.
  14. The Escape Room on the Bliss was held in Q. Which makes me wonder...do they have an Escape Room on the Escape (which would be redundant). Although, Choir of Man plays on the Escape and they sing the song "Escape" (the pina colada song by Rupert Holmes).
  15. There are multiple on-going discussions about the missing hash brown hockey pucks (or as I call them, grease sponges) on the CC NCL page. It's become quite a hot topic. You probably missed it because you're too busy enjoying your cruise 😁
  16. They have to weigh you every time you go down the slide because you may find the hidden stash of hash browns on the way down and gorge yourself. Can't be too careful...
  17. I think you need to start including their faces in your pictures. After all, you caught them red-handed (footed?). It's possible/probable that they're not CC members, but if they are, they might get a hint that their willful neglect of the rules, sanitation and common decency is uncalled for.
  18. The Captain saw all the people wearing Bermuda shorts in breathless anticipation of going there, and he said (being the jokester that he is)..."I'll show them".
  19. I've been on CC forever (or maybe it just seems like it) but I don't recall ever seeing so many simultaneous "Live" cruise reports at one time. It's awesome to go along with all of you vicariously...even though it's hard to keep straight who is on which ship and with who (whom?). It's good to escape the frozen tundra (which is really frozen today) even if only through the eyes of the following intrepid reporters. Please excuse me if I have left someone out. At my age, I think remembering seven names is quite a feat. Wishing you all smooth sailing and happy hash brown hunting. @lepidoptera @ColdCruise @CAKEisgood@EganFire @mking00803 @cruiseny4life @JIMESOPUS
  20. I recall the Captain on our Escape TA last year talking at the Q&A session. Somehow the topic of the funky bow on the Prima came up and he said he would have no interest piloting a ship with that design.
  21. Let's hope it's not like the soft serve in the buffet, since that is ice MILK...not ice CREAM. In which case, the name of the station would be false advertising.
  22. I'm old enough to remember The Who. Apparently he's not...or it went right over his head.
