yes,it says on the platinum voucher that cannot be used in same restaurant twice but in practice, ive done it for all 7 of my cruises this year. restaurant hosts and matree-D's didnt bat an eye. so hopefully your're wrong on point #1 as well. i'll report back after my cruise later this year

Going solo and I know 2 other people on cruise. I get the Platinum dining vouchers but they dont since they are not Platinum yet. I'm going to buy a 6 sdp dining package so i'll eat at a specialty restaurant every night. (6+1 from promo) The 3 of us will eat in a specialty restaurant twice. Each time, I will use my dining package for myself and a Platinum voucher for the 2 of them. This is what the matre'D of Le Bistro told me last year: Each Platinum voucher entitles 2 people to a free dinner but You do not have to use it on yourself. You just have to be there when it's being used because keycard. I have not tried this yet but I will later this year. (And obviously will ask the hostess before trying my plan)

I bought a CasNext from last month's cruise. I was told by the casino host that i can't see it in my acct but the people at Cas can. i wanted to use the casNext today for a cruise. Cas doesn't see it. For those that bought a CasNext, how long did you wait before you used it?

just got off joy today. docs say we disembark 7am but we didnt get clearance till like 745am. got on line at around 815am. then a little after 8:30am, the line stopped to exit the ship. (self assist only. no color tags been called yet.) there was a backup at customs, supposedly the facial recognition scanners lost network. 15min later debarking started again. off the ship, went through customs and out of the terminal at around 915am

yup, i do that too. i just write 'diamond' at the top of sheet and dont bother with the laundry coupon. have never been charged

learned from a friend that it's only 1 set of dining vouchers if both are platinum or above. (prima this past april) for 12+ day cruises, it should be 2 bags of laundry per platinum person. so you can combine cloths and have laundry every 4 days for you 16day cruise!

just got off the joy. yes 4 course at le bistro, cagneys, and ocean blue for platinum vouchers. but at cagneys, was limited to 1 side. i thought that was a bit weird. that was the 1st time in dozens of cruises that i was limited to 1 side but i guess it's good for my wiastline since the 2nd side would have been french fries

take the free wine, and leave it for your cabin steward. i did a 7day b2b and i get 3 bottles of wine from the casino for EACH leg plus 1 bottle per leg from Platinum dinners. so 8 bottles for 14days. 😲 i left my cabin steward 3 bottles: - 2 east/west red blend ($17/glass) - 1 Gerald cabernet (platinum dinner wine choice)

for my cagneys on joy this month, it was 2 apps/1 entree/1 side dish. thats the 1st about only 1 side dish. the old vouchers used to say 1 appetizer. what do the new ones say? (sailed over a dozen times since new vouchers and never read it 🥴)

Someone i know went on Prima in April. Only 1 dining voucher set in the room. they went down to cruisenext and they said it's 1 per cabin even if both people are platinum or above. 😲 when did this change??

i got a casnext from my Star cruise last month. a month later, i still dont see it on my acct. where did you see your casnext certs in your acct? and does it say casnext?

yes, you're right about house edge mattering. (Don't know about losses since i usually dont lose big.) My #s are mainly from VP. Since VP is a low house edge game, my loses are usually small such that the extra obc the hosts gives me brings me close to breakeven. Slots have a bigger house edge but i dont think it accounts for double the 'end of cruise' obc you're getting. So i guess you're right in that loses counts. And sorry that you had such big loses.

I earned 7k points from slots. Used 5k ($50) for a $250 CasNext cert. So +$200 profit. On the last night of the cruise, the casino hosts usually give additional obc if you play enough. From past experiences: 4k points is +$25, 5k is +100, 10k is +300. So for 7k I'd expect around $200. Nope. Only +$65, not including the 2k ($20) in remaining pts. It was explained to me that a CasNext cert counts against the total additional obc. So basically +$265 additional for earning 7k pts, which sounds about right. (I didn't lose any $) I like CasNext better since it's more useful to me than $200 stuff at the gift shop, in addition to any left over obc from the $500 I get every cruise ($400 casino, $100 shareholders). Note: I always have left over obc from that $500 because there's only so much excursions and additional dining packages I will buy.

Why don't you and your wife get 100 shares so both can get $100obc? Or is it like the cruisenext certificate and$50 shore ex credit in that 1 per cabin? (I travel solo and almost always get $100)

Took the excursion. The boat is called the Rising sun (I think). The outside talker was entertaining. (There was also a inside talker for those they preferred inside.) It was only supposed to be 1 1/2 hrs but it lasted 2. It was great. Luckily I'm coming back to Bermuda in a couple months so will try the $79 one.

When's the last day you can claim FCC for price drop? And how much do you get? Ie: 50% of price drop as FCC?

I'm currently on the joy In Bermuda. Free wifi at the dock works for my phone but not my laptop. Can't get the login screen on laptop. On phone (android), it pops up automatically when you connect to the free wifi. Just fyi

One is slightly more expensive than the other. I asked shore ex what the difference was. He said price. They are essentially the same. (Both leave at same time.) They goto the same place. One is a different tour operator then the other. Never knew ncl contracts with competing tour operators for the same tour

It's wide so there are plenty of places where you can pass. (Unlike the Joy where there's only 2places and if he's in the middle, there not enough room to pass) Unfortunately everyone in front of me were also experienced go kart drivers. (I was in the 4th go kart) Everyone in front of me had the pedal to the metal and navigated the turns well. I had no opportunity to pass. :(
