  1. My memory is quite good. Maybe some "premium rooms" have tv. We did not have one nor did 2 other couples we hung out with when we were there. We all sat around discussing that.
  2. We were in Waterford last August. Couldn't find a cab. Wanted to go to the village we used to live in. Luckily the Waterford glass company had a free bus running into town so wectok that. Btw..we loved go to the Rock of Cashel and going to one of my favorite restaurants...Chez Hans
  3. We stayed at the Moxy in Southampton last August. Location was superb. Walk out the front door, turn left to corner and cross the street...you are at the gigantmall. About a 10 min walk to train station (to Bath) for us overweight 75 year olds. Moxy for me was different from other hotels. Tiny room. No closet..hooks. No TV. No telephone. Very clean and quiet. But was fine for 2 nights. 5 min cab ride to cruise terminal.
  4. We were in Portland last August on Oceania Vista. Did a great tour with a company called Dorset Tours. They offered several to choose from. About 20 in our group. Very reasonably priced. We the mandatory bus from Port about 3 minutes where we were met
  5. If you need a restaurant in Ushaia, Tante Nina in town is very good
  6. Might want to ask Princess.....
  7. We took the National Express Coach. Was easy once we figured out that the bus says what the LAST stop is and doesn't say Southampton. We each had a wheeled suitcase and backpack.
  8. So glad you liked Dewa. He really is wonderful!
  9. Did our first Vista cruise in August. Have been on all the other O ships. I didn't care for the in house shows at all. Not wild about the voices or staging. There was a kind of big ball from the old days that hung from top of center stage and sent out blasts of light. Very annoying. On the other hand, the special performers brought onboard were excellent. Just my opinion
  10. IN kirkwall..... See-orkney.co.uk Family run. we had a wonderful day. Lorna pick up 5 of us....we went all over....
  11. We took the coach in August. Deflate the option for changing your bus time...it's £5ppmore. Our Tuesday flight was cancelled 3 days before. We had to find a new flight....different arrival...different terminal. As phabric pointed out the front of the bus lists the FINAL stop not Southampton. Trip was fine.
  12. His email trainaticon.co.cn Don't know if he has a vehicle big enough...you can ask. Dave Train He was superb. I think we had him for 4 days. Recommit to friends...they absolutely loved him
  13. We stayed at Moxy in August. Walk out the front door and turn left. Walk to corner and cross the street. You will see the mall in front of you. Walk up the little hill to the mall door. Inside look for M&S and Waitrose which is Inside John Lewis store. Under 5 min walk to west quay mall. ASDA was on our way walking from Moxyy to train station. Ask at Moxy desk. A 5 min walk.
  14. We took national express coach from Heathrow to Southampton in August. Nobody weighed bags. We gave the driver our bags and he put them inside the luggage compartment on the bus
  15. Do you mean when can passengers board? On our recent British Isles cruise, we were scheduled to leave Southampton at 9pm. We were able to board at 11:00am. They gave us a bunch of choices
  16. I set up a m&g on a recent cruise. 61 people signed up. A few of us made name tags (real and cc names). O did not send out any invites. The did put up a sign that said something about Private functions in a corner of Horizons. Someone was there to meet me when I arrived early to make sure we were given a spot to meet. People stood up and introduced themselves. I had sent 9ut emails to all who signed up with time and place. Was fine. We actually had another m&g the night before in a Sydney Pub set up by another cc member so that those who might not be able to make the one on ship could meet up. I think that one had about 30 people.
  17. We stayed at Moxie. Great location. Short walk to train station and West Quay mall. 5 minutes taxi ride to pier. However depends what you are looking for in a hotel. No closet...a few hooks on wall. No t.v. No telephone in room. Small but very clean. We stayed 2 nights....would stay again
  18. Our 35 day Australia circumnavigation had 4 ports lost. One to "unable to tender due to high waves" and 3 due to New Zealand requiring the ship be cleaned as per biofouling rules (we weren't going to New Zealand the next cruise was) . we had also found port changes sheet on our bed when we got on board. We also lost all power on the ship for hours one night. What O offered was an announcement from the Captain thanking us for our understanding. What more than 60 couples/singles (all from rollcall) got was $500pp FCC. In spite of it all, this was probably the best cruise I've ever been on. We met so many lovely people
  19. We were in 8048 and got a call that our TV could be heard next door. We purposely had it on low volume so to be sure not to bother anyone.....didn't work.
  20. We did an Argentinian cooking class 9n marina with Chef Stephanie. She was great. Lots of wine. I remember making empenadas....they were good but honestly not as good as mine. Also made dulce de leche ice cream and some other stuff. My Argentinian friend taught me. But we loved the class
  21. In Sydney...we took a wonderful full day excursion with chef led GOURMET GETAWAY TOURS. Superb day. Also a full day tour with Andersonstours.com.au. Excellent.
