  1. A round of golf at Cape Kidnappers. Rated in top 100 courses in the world. Only $300-$600. Not much more than some ships' tours. You may even see a few birdies up there.
  2. On my one and only Carnival cruise there was no shortage of muffin tops. Men were wearing board shorts, sleeveless t-shirts and thongs. From our table, at the back-of-the- room-dingey-corner, in the MDR I could not see enough diners to determine if they made it in.
  3. Back on Nov 7 I received an offer from a mob that deals in trips for a fly/cruise package taking in Denmark, Norway, Iceland, Greenland, UK and Netherlands. Price AUD7999 ("normally" $9599). Today I checked the same deal and it is now AUD9999! With a $150 "Cyber Deal" discount. Go figure.
  4. Qbay46 can take it. On checking, I'm pretty sure I got the wrong plaza. Those plazas are all over the place in Spain. Over to you qbay
  5. Best of all - requires no fossil fuels to run apart from recharging the prod battery.😉
  6. I love sweet potato chips. I recall sometime ago having sweet potato fries on a ship. They were delish. I think it may have been RCI, Anyone know?
  7. Yes. Rolling Stone venue is replacing BB King's.
  8. I suspect, in your case, if a doctor was called by the nurse you would then be hit with a consult fee. This was explained to me when I walked into a glass door on X Solstice. I grazed my forehead so went to the sick bay thinking I should report any injury. The nurse explained that if I wanted it recorded she would have to call the doctor to have a look at it, log it and charge me USD100. If I let her look at the injury and slap a band aid on it, then there was no charge.
  9. Should I be Russian in to get this one?
  10. Shingles is a late in life infection as a result of having had chicken pox as a kid. I had a mild dose (shingles) about four years ago - I was lucky, it can be extremely painful. My GP said I should still get the vaccine as it could return but I had to wait about six months after the shingles to get the vaccine.
  11. You are correct. It is Emery Point, quite close to the cruise ship dock. Cape Hotham is some distance from there in Van Diemen Gulf - I'd guess about 60-70klm. They look similar.
  12. Five days now and no symptoms. Cool. Which means one of two things. I didn't get the bug, or, I got the bug and the vaccine did it's job.
  13. That's why I always have an egg or two.
  14. Lunchtime and I'm hungry again. Pisa!
  15. Yes, that is a fried egg. Plus veges, sans little green and white trees. The photo does not show the real bulk of the pie, it's about double the volume of the cheap frozen variety.
  16. Thanks. I'm already aware of that. I had asked my next door neighbor, a recently retired GP, who uses the gel himself. I was desperate yesterday to have something (the Voltaren tabs) to see me through the day. It did it's job. I have the Mobic now. Will see how it goes.
