  1. It's amazing people manage to get back home alive based on some post cruise social media posts.
  2. But it'll all be taken care of before you board with the extra cleaning procedures, so don't sweat it.
  3. This was to be their last major vacation together. It's entirely possibly he didn't want to burden the family with his dementia over the next few years and took matters into his own hands.
  4. It will be an email directly from the concierge email address.
  5. Also depending on the ship, the shaver outlet may only work when the bathroom lights are on. You may want to look into a battery operated night light.
  6. Lots of different viruses/bacteria can cause a GI illness. Then there's just a bad reaction to food.
  7. Cruise lines only have to report GI outbreaks involving at least 2% of passengers or 3% including crew. Plus there are plenty of GI things that aren't noro that people can get on board (and that may not even be contagious)
  8. That's pretty late for Adventure.
  9. RC reported 4 noro outbreaks last year, more than any other cruise line. I do believe they take it quite seriously.
  10. Any GI issues on ships shouldn't be a worry to anyone other than those on the ship. GI outbreaks rarely happen on ships. You're more likely to get noro from just spending time at a nursing home. Also rare is having an outbreak affect a significant portion of the ship. Look at this year's events that met the reporting threshold. Only 4 of them. And only one was more than 5% of passengers. But that was only 7%. Are you on Radiance next cruise? No worries, they'll have it all taken care of before they let people board again.
  11. Having linked reservations does not guarantee a table together.
  12. The cocktails aren't included in the beverage package. But are included with ESC. Not many places on land you could get an 8 course meal with drinks included for $200
  13. The cocktails included alone would be worth over $100. I think the $200 price tag is extremely fair.
  14. All the reviews so far have been quite positive about ESC. It puts Chef's Table to shame. I'm on Star in 2026 and for someone who doesn't do specialty restaurants and hates to dress up, I'd fully consider ESC (though I think it'll have a different name/theme on Star)
  15. Now that they're in full salvage mode, I'm curious how much of the terminal is being used for day to day stuff anymore.
  16. The only limitations on what's available I've ever seen are time cutoffs. They won't let you book a flight that arrives after a certain time on embarkation day and won't let you book flights that depart before a certain time after the cruise.
  17. Of course you can ask and I don't think it'd be a problem.
  18. https://www.royalcaribbean.com/faq/questions/food-drink-onboard-policy Diamond on Carnival (Top tier) doesn't seems to offer many more perks than Diamond Plus (Tier 5 of 6) on RC. Not a criticism, just I never looked at Carnivals tiers before.
  19. I don't like it. It's a waste of everyone's time, including the serving staff.
  20. Any time zone change is very well communicated on board. You won't miss it.
  21. I think those routes always have the ship time changed to match the local time zone.
