  1. For Breakaway/Getaway, be aware that the balcony on deck 13 is partially enclosed..... ...and 13106 is a wheelchair accessible stateroom that is 1 large room and 1 large bathroom (no separate living room/bedroom like the others). I don't know which decks are available but the lower the deck, the longer the walk to the elevator. Plus, low decks such as 9 or 10 have a forward view that is mostly blocked by the bow of the ship. If you can, take deck 12.
  2. CT10 has been the usual and appears to be the usual for the time being.
  3. We get recognized more easily since we're a family of 4. Plus, there are only 2 Royal Suites on the ships that I have sailed so knowing that we have the same cabana/pergola reserved helps the staff remember us or at least recognize us as Yacht Club guests. Part of their job would be remembering the people that have been asked. If the staff can't remember, the interlopers who have been removed could easily return. Just "looking familiar" without remembering who should/shouldn't be there would be pointless. If the choices are "ask nobody" vs. "ask everybody multiple times", I would prefer the latter. However, the option of "asking and then knowing who belongs" is the better option.
  4. I've done both. You can drop bags then go park or you can park and bring your luggage across the street.
  5. Is the Explora Journeys program up and running? Every time that I look, it says that they are "finalizing" the details. Link?
  6. I won't go around asking for ID/stateroom card but I won't let anyone piggyback as I enter an exclusive area. Whether it's Yacht Club or Haven, I make sure that the door closes behind us. If someone tries to piggyback, I tell them that they have to use their card/wristband to enter. I'll say something along the lines of "... it's so the staff can know how many people are in the area..." and see the reaction. I don't see myself as a rat if I report a known interloper. I see myself as trying to keep the Yacht Club or Haven as it is intended to be. If another guest asks me to show my card, I will.....ignore that guest. If a member of the staff asks me to show my card, I will....once. If I'm continually asked, I'll walk right to the concierge and tell him/her that I won't be showing my card to staff for the remainder of the cruise. MSC can take measures to prevent/reduce interlopers without being overly intrusive to actual Yacht Club guests.
  7. With news of the Paroc panels reaching the public, the cruise lines should do more to combat all types of smoking but unfortunately, the mentality of "...if it doesn't make dollars, it doesn't make sense..." rules the industry.
  8. Even if you don't post for us to see (I'd love for you to post the videos, actually), you do have the option to show the videos to the YC director and voice your concerns. You don't "have to" but Yacht Club guests (present and future) would really appreciate it.
  9. For BA/BA+ ships, the layout can be either bed near balcony or bed near closet for the Club Balcony Suites. The balcony size can also differ greatly. If you add the aft-facing Club Balcony Suites, those are even more different.

  11. You pay for your excursions when you book them. Even if you are months before final payment date and have only paid the deposit for the cruise, the excursions are paid in full. If you really want something that you fear might sell out, book it now and pay for it with your own money.
  12. Foy Joy, the balcony for 12960 is a bit more narrow than 12958. It is also bed near closet while 12958 is bed near balcony.
  13. Although rare, it does happen. I don't know if booking directly vs. through someone else makes a difference but you would probably have to contact your rep for an explanation/solution in your case.
  14. Consider the FAS dining package and the purchased dining package to be the same. The 1/1/1/1 went into effect for both. Some people have not been charged for extra apps/sides but as time goes on, more likely that 1/1/1/1 will apply for the SDP uses no matter how you got it. Food Republic is 4 items.
  15. For FAS, the dining package is only for guests 1&2 but the drink package is for all in the stateroom who are 21 or older.
  16. MSC requires guests to comply with government travel requirements so I went to ... https://www.usa.gov/travel-documents-children ...which should satisfy MSC's requirements. That's why I put "might" as I'm not 100% sure that MSC won't give you a problem in the future.
  17. You might fall under the following.... If one parent has sole custody of the child, a copy of the custody document can take the place of the other parent's letter.
  18. The threads above should help. Feel free to ask any questions.
  19. On OC, cabanas are at a cost for everyone. Only on the ship is a cabana/pergola reserved for Owner's Suite and Royal Suite guests.
  20. It wasn't you. It's just that with people looking for info on FAS, it should be clear that SDP is only for guests 1&2 while PBP is for all in the stateroom 21 and older.
  21. 2 meals each for guests 1&2. Guests 3-whatever don't get any SDP meals with the promo.
  22. Yes. If there is a specific one that you want, ask the concierge to put you in that one. If nobody else already has it, you'll get it.
  23. Empty water bottle is fine. If she is going to fill it at the dispenser, please explain to her how to do it in a sanitary way.
  24. It was probably the part about "...current prices make me feel disrespected..." that caused the misunderstanding.
