  1. Is it a "check in" problem or a "log in" problem? How far are you getting before you hit the problem and what message are you seeing?
  2. IF what you want is available, yes. The concierge has some pull when it comes to getting things done for Haven guests but the concierge cannot perform miracles.
  3. Only some of the reservations are available before (130/125/120 days) embarkation day. The rest are made available on embarkation day. Either have the concierge make them or make them yourself as soon as you board the ship or log onto the ship's wi-fi.
  4. It's not as formal as you may believe. On MSC, dress is more "suggested" than mandatory. Even in the Yacht Club, men can usually get away with wearing casual clothes. Wearing shorts can sometimes be an issue but I've seen them during dinner.
  5. The UV-C (probably UVGi) used with "Smart Air" will kill viruses, bacteria, mold, etc. but the smell that you are experiencing will still be there....or might even be a bit worse.
  6. Celebrity has The Retreat. (I suggest the EDGE Class ships over the retrofitted ships) RCCL has the Suite Neighborhood on their newest ships (Wonder and ICON).
  7. For the dining package part of the promo, yes. If your cruise is.... 3-6 nights, 1 SDP (all stateroom types) 7-11 nights, 1 SDP for Studio, Interior, Ocean view 7-11 nights, 2 SDP for Balcony and above 12+ nights, 2 SDP for Studio, Interior, Ocean view 12+ nights, 3 SDP for Balcony and above
  8. 1. The majority of reservations open on embarkation day. You can make your reservations then but do it quickly as others on the ship will try to do the same. You can decide on the ship to use your SDP at any restaurant that accepts it. Even if you order extra when using a SDP, you just pay for what is not covered. 2. You can bring an empty container (fill using sanitary methods) or ask for a glass of water at any bar or restaurant. 3/3b. Certain restaurants require long pants (check the dailies for your cruise) and a sun dress will work in any restaurant. Sneakers can be worn in any restaurant on the ship. 4. If you have a beverage package (probably through the promo), you can bring bottled wine onboard without a corkage fee. If you don't have a package, a corkage fee applies to whatever number of bottles that you bring onboard. Bottled water cannot be brought onboard "...with the exception of purified or distilled water in factory-sealed containers for use in conjunction with medical devices or for the reconstitution of infant formula."
  9. No, the promo gives you a certain number of meals. You can choose from the restaurants on your ship that accept the SDP. The number depends on length of cruise and stateroom category booked. "An SDP meal in a la carte restaurants includes 1 appetizer, 1 soup or salad, 1 main course and 1 dessert (does not apply to cover charge restaurants or Food Republic, Pincho Tapas Bar and Sushi, where a meal includes any 4 menu items). No sharing or to go orders permitted." T&C In restaurants with a cover charge (Teppanyaki, for ex.) the SDP covers the meal. Anything that is an additional charge on the menu will be labeled as a supplemental charge (Lobster Thermidor, for ex). The PBP promo "Includes a variety of spirits and cocktails, wines by the glass and bottled or draft beer up to $15 USD retail price. Includes fountain soda, juice, and non-alcoholic beer". If a drink is over $15, the promo covers the first $15 and the guest is charged the difference plus 20% service charge on that difference. A $20 shot would cost you $6 ($5 plus 20%). Bottled/boxed water is not included and certain things like milkshakes and Starbucks are not included. There is no limit on the number of drinks per day. Both the PBP and SDP promos come with a 20% service charge based on the retail price of the package. The PBP is currently $109 per person per day so taking the promo adds $21.80 pppd. The SDP charge depends on how many meals you get ($11.80/$19.80/$27.80). It is added to your cruise fare and is paid together with your final payment total.
  10. In all fairness, shorts, t-shirts, and open-toe shoes are allowed in the Haven restaurant for all meals. A hat is on the prohibited list, however. I enjoy Haven and Yacht Club so I have nothing against either line. I've never had a bad (or even mediocre) cruise on either line and will continue to sail both on their newer ships. The supply problems are a big issue especially for people who pay for the Premium Plus Beverage Package. NCL has no valid excuse for that. Hopefully, as more people bring light to the issue, NCL will fix the problem. I've also sailed Seaside and Meraviglia and enjoyed both tremendously. I'm glad that you gave MSC another shot and enjoyed your cruise.
  11. It does happen....(Pride of America) (Cabins on Deck 13 do not have hot tubs on the balcony, a walk-in closet or whirlpool tub. Some Cabins may not have guest bathroom.)
  12. Although there will probably be some kids in the Yacht Club, the percentage of kids will be lower compared to general population. Usually (not always), children sailing in the Yacht Club are better behaved than children throughout the rest of the ship. As for being on a different deck, you won't be more than a minute away using either the stairs or the exclusive "within the complex" elevator. On the sundeck, there are 2 hot tubs and kids are far more likely to use the one in the front instead of the one on the side. Your cruise will be fine. You'll probably wish that it was longer.
  13. Even though I never pack a suit, we pack as much as can fit in the SUV. That's just one of the benefits of living close enough to drive to 5 different cruise ports on the morning of the cruise. 😁
  14. NCL Sun NCL Jewel/Pearl NCL Gem Pride Of America Prima/Viva also have multiple staterooms with a hot tub on the balcony. There are others but I'm too lazy to find them all. 😉
  15. Your bed will be however the previous guest had it. If it isn't correct, leave a note for your steward or speak to the steward directly.
  16. Do you remember if the bed was near the balcony or near the closet?
  17. It's relatively new if you last cruised NCL more than a year ago. I don't remember the exact date that it went into effect. Maybe it was summer 2022?
  18. If you go away from the side infinity pools and move forward on deck 8, you should be able to find loungers and a direct view of the ocean. There is a point where you can't go forward unless you are an Aurea guest but before that locked door, there is usually space, plenty of loungers, and quiet. Inside, the Broadcasting Room is empty during the day. Some of the other places have a window to see outside and are mostly empty during the day.
  19. MSC does serve alcohol and does have an international clientele.......🥴
  20. I mostly agree. The OP probably didn't get the comedic reference. When I read it, I actually pictured Steve and heard the voice in my head but that's just the movie/tv buff that I am. Does the OP watch "Only Murders in the Building"? Steve isn't the only former SNL actor on that show. Those early SNL episodes were way before my time but there have been so many stars that can trace back to SNL, I can go back and see what today's stars were like before they were stars. Maybe a simple emoji (or emoticon if you're old) at the end of the sentence would help in the future. The OP joined CC 18 years ago. Unless she joined as a toddler, I wouldn't consider her to be a "kid". 😁
  21. Things don't always work in a way that is best for the customer. For example, I want massaging seats in my next car. My wife hates massaging seats. The option box for the car is either both front seats get massaging seats (for $200 total) or neither gets massaging seats. It's either both or neither. Is there a $100 option for just the driver to get a massaging seat while the passenger gets a standard seat? No. Will the driver who wants a massaging seat be paying for something that the passenger doesn't want and will never use? Yes. Is there a FAS option for just guest #1 to get the PBP while guest #2 does not? No. Will guest #1 who wants the PBP be paying for something that guest #2 doesn't want and will never use? Yes. Even at Burger King, you can't always have it your way.
