  1. You’re asking questions that nobody can answer…not even the people who wrote the law, I’m sure.
  2. 1. 3 prong 2. shower gel and shampoo yes. Works for me. 3. usually the second night 4. I take my real passport. A photocopy of a passport is not valid ID. 5. You need ID when ashore.
  3. Warning to Carnival cruisers today - DO NOT ATTEMPT WHAT YOU SEE IN THAT COMMERCIAL! https://boards.cruisecritic.com/search/?q=sewage&quick=1&type=forums_topic&nodes=133
  4. The library on sunshine is basically just there for chefs table. It isn’t used for anything else that I’ve noticed. The books are just decoration.
  5. The cruise won't sell out for a while probably. But prices will go up and room selection will go down as time goes on more than likely.
  6. deck 1 can be rough if you're near the thrusters
  7. Whenever you know for sure the cruise you want to go on, go ahead and book. Why wait? If the price goes down, price match. If it goes up you're insulated. Why exactly are you thinking it's advantageous to wait?
  8. DMVs in a lot of areas are overwhelmed - appointments are months out for some reason and have been for years now.
  9. The only reason you need a real ID is if you want to be able to fly domestically without needing your passport, one day maybe when this real ID law actually perhaps comes in effect. They keep delaying it so we may all be dead by then, who knows.
  10. It's amazing anything gets done at all in government, really.
  11. The biggest advantage to a TA is they can do things other than Carnival. I can book a Disney cruise, a trip to Hong Kong, or whatever I want with my TA. A PVP will not advocate for you when your interests are opposite Carnival's as you are experiencing here because they will not bite the hand that feeds them (understandably so). The only advantage to a PVP is you have a consistent voice on the other end of the phone when dealing with Carnival.
  12. When has Cheers ever sold out?
  13. Are you sure about that? That's new if so, I've never been charged a gratuity in the gift shop.
  14. Several 2024 cruises I've been looking at have gone down in price over the past few months. Granted part of that may be casino offers, I'm not certain. But I do doubt the Greenland cruises will go down in price. But if they do, price match. Low risk.
  15. I can eat powdered eggs and frozen french fries at Denny's so why do I need to go on Carnival to do that?
  16. I know people on here tip for some crazy stuff (or at least they say they do - I am reminded of the poster who said she tipped at Guy's to be guaranteed a fresh patty), but tipping the gift shop cashier is a new one.
  17. The complaints are mostly from people who know what Carnival is capable of, not the cheap and nasty stuff they're serving now. Their new clientele that smokes marijuana in the bathroom and fights on the Serenity deck is living high on the hog with powdered eggs and ketchup soup.
  18. You're not going to be able to get food cooked to order on the Lido. No medium rare strip loin for example and no melting cake. But many of the other dishes will be served. The carved meats on Lido sometimes are delicious - I love the roast beef and turkey.
  19. I wonder why Grand Turk is one of the last remaining holdouts against freedom?
  20. I have not stayed in any of the rooms they added to Sunshine during the Destiny transformation, nor in the suites so those might be different. But the other rooms I'm familiar with it won't be a problem.
  21. You can hook up a playstation, just bring an HDMI cable and plug it in then use the buttons on the back of the TV to change inputs. They don’t lock out anything, the in-cabin remote just won’t change inputs. You have to do it the old fashioned way.
  22. The Pride has a library, yes, but I don’t know what games or cards will be available in particular.
  23. And that, son, is how I met your mother.
  24. “Big screen” ? You must have never been on Spirit or Sunshine LOL
