  1. Carnival Corp's new motto: "A bad day at sea is better than a good day in the office"
  2. Simple really, if there's just a towel rolled up in the middle of the chair - high likelihood that towel has been there unattended for hours. I really should be charging for these simple cruising hacks.
  3. Apparently so, they didn't pay extra for expedited shipping either
  4. I am active in the CCL board but peruse the others. This is the first time I've heard multiple cruisers corroborate crew shouting, being rude, and even grabbing children. Please feel free to link me to an NCL thread with a similar complaint.
  5. Irrelevant to carnivals situation. They have access to a nearly unlimited supply of workers from the third world.
  6. They added a banner to the top of Carnival.com when Cucina closed. No such announcement or mention was made for Pizza. The only way people would know before their cruise is if they read it on here.
  7. I'm not suing them, I'm just not going on another Carnival cruise until they bring their standard of service back to where it was before COVID. "I'm just happy to be cruising again" isn't enough for me at this point.
  8. Carnival shouldn't be advertising something on their website that they have no intention of delivering. https://www.carnival.com/cruise-food/pizza-pirate
  9. It is absolutely underhanded and frankly disgusting that they made this big announcement championing the end of testing for most of their cruises and emailed out everybody, then the next day in secret updated their website to say it actually doesn't apply to their #1 destination.
  10. For my wife and I they're just extra towels at this point - especially since we no longer get twice daily service!
  11. I feel like that's most of Carnival's cruises, other than some of the Cozumel and Mexican Riviera routes. Goodness so the announcement the other day has really been watered down. Sneaky on Carnival's part - make an announcement out in public and then walk back most of it's power a few days later in quiet.
  12. Nowhere does Carnival say the test has to be done 72 hours before the cruise.
  13. Sort of like asking for no pickles on your Whopper, special requests can actually slow things down. You are the guest so whatever you want they can accommodate, but don't make the request just because you think it saves them time.
  14. Carnival is still advertising 24/7 pizza on their website. Most of people's complaint with pizza is that is now the only thing available after 10/11 PM these days.
  15. A lot of it is if you go when school is out and people who have never been around civilized society go on a cruise.
  16. It may not happen any time soon, may not ever happen, but the point is it's possible.
  17. Which for a ship that accommodates 6000 guests is unacceptable in my opinion.
  18. I'm sure it will be very nice. I actually don't mind stopping in Nassau frankly. Maybe I'm one of the few. The whole point of this port is the ships can practically blow over from Florida. There are already other ports in the Caribbean if you want something different - Amber Cove, Grand Turk, etc...
  19. I’m saying if you’re not using your chair the courteous thing to do to your fellow cruisers is make the chair available. I do understand that common courtesy is no longer common and it’s all about me me me.
  20. Oh I'd love to be able to go on one of the Freedom's TAs. I love that ship!
  21. Enjoy! Freeport is actually a port I've been reminiscing about lately. It was the very first stop on my very first cruise.
  22. Maybe they were increasing their automatic grats? Plenty of reasons to go to guest services, especially the last night of the cruise.
  23. I heard "likely soon turn a profit" from $CCL 6 months ago...wake me up when it happens.
  24. It was a tongue-in-cheek comment and I realize that does not come across in text. My point was "cash flow positive" is irrelevant. "Profitable" is a relevant term but has largely alluded the cruise industry for nearly three years now.
  25. I agree with what some are saying - longer cruises during the school year are a different experience than the short cruises over holidays or during Summer. But a lot of it is still the same. The cabin, the food, and the crew are all mostly the same. The main difference is just the passengers you're sharing the cruise with.
