  1. I guess you can report it if you find it offensive.
  2. My TA has confirmed that they are saying it was an IT error and they are not returning the "extra" $600. Just curious.... If I made a mistake and accidentally booked a cruise under a nonrefundable deposit when I meant to book refundable....and then needed to cancel, would Celebrity be as understanding when I claimed that I made a mistake?
  3. Had lots of good food on our cruise a few weeks ago. But am I the only one who thinks the OP’s bone marrow dish looks gross? No offense, OP.
  4. No smoking on Seashore in the casino back in august. Does MSC’s smoking policy depend on location?
  5. Will board her in November. Following this thread for any and all intel. We’ve only done one other ship in the MSC fleet so looking forward to your observations. Enjoy your cruise!!
  6. What/where is this? And…. what’s in the sip n sail?
  7. We booked Aug. 17. My TA said Celebrity was having a double OBC promotion. I asked about it specifically when it showed up twice on my invoice.
  8. Just checked my planner and I have been dropped by $600 as well. Last week it showed $1200. I booked through my TA and here's the part of my booking invoice that shows all of my promotions (the $625 is from my TA). I've reached out to my TA for clarification.
  9. Have your tried MSC Yacht Club? They are my go to when looking to save a little money on a suite. And they offer Inside Suites that are very budget friendly but come with lots of perks. Have to say, they surpass the Celebrity suite experience IMO. I haven't tried the Celebrity Retreat yet so my opinion could change.
  10. Good to know! We are in a RS in March and I'd like a cool room with privacy sheers! 😊
  11. Huh...good to know...but even more mysterious. Wonder why some cabins have them and other don't?
  12. My first cruise was in 1992 on Carnival Fantasy. It was their latest and greatest at the time. No contact with the outside world for 5 whole days! Heaven. Not judging the question. Like you, I want good wifi now when I cruise as well. Just reflecting on how the experience has evolved.
  13. Typical sea day for us begins with a light breakfast on the balcony. I read the planner to DH because he's a romantic and loves to hear my voice. Then we put on some pool attire and head to the solarium for a bit. While there, DH may open his laptop and I'll read a book. After an inevitable pina colada (or 2) induced nap, we will collect our things and swing by the soft serve machine to get a cone to eat on our way to the Persian Gardens for a steam. Later we will return to our stateroom for a "nooner" perhaps, shower, and get ready for the 3 PM whatever (Dance class, wine tasting, lecture). Afterward, I'll play a little bit in the casino while DH watches whatever sports is playing on the television above the bar. He'll bring me a drink while I play and check in on my winnings. We'll then stroll around the shops and seek out some live music or bar fly in the martini bar. At 7 we'll head to the theater for the show and afterward, we'll go to dinner. Following dinner we will likely go back to the casino for a whirl before heading back to our stateroom. I'll stream some pandora on my phone and we'll slow dance on our balcony to Hallelujah by Leonard Cohen. We'll each get lost in our own thoughts while gazing at the water. I'm usually thinking something like, wow, I'd really hate to fall overboard...who would see me... and he's likely thinking, I could go for another nooner...We muse about how blessed we are to be on another cruise and then call it a day. Don't even get me started on two sea days in a row...
  14. I've read a number of reviews hat mention this very thing. I'm wondering why Celebrity have removed those privacy sheers. The used to be there...
  15. I can’t answer your question because I haven’t yet done a TA. It’s on my bucket list for sure. I’m responding to say that Silhouette is my absolute favorite Celebrity ship. I have cruise envy and wish you the absolute best cruise ever!
  16. I mean I guess it depends on how you look at it. I always thought of a vaccine as something that prevented an illness. DH and I are both double vaxed but got Covid anyway. Did the vaccine do its job? If it’s job was to prevent, then the answer is no. If it’s job was to reduce symptoms, then maybe. Idk at this point. I’m just glad cruising has resumed for everyone and that everyone can do what feels right for their personal situation.
  17. I beg to differ. Although some of the "deficiencies" pointed out by the OP are not big deals to me, the observations in no way make me think he/they aren't having fun. I will admit that the title of this thread has sorta set the tone. If OP had chosen a different title, perhaps there wouldn't be so much backlash. I am traveling on the Solstice in March and I'm very much interested in the observations of others. Albeit, said observations aren't going to change our plans, they may help us better prepare. For example, I will likely bring a small fan for our stateroom..just in case.
  18. We are definitely on deck somewhere...with a drink in hand!
  19. Thank you for all the great info! We have settled on Cocoa Beach...I'm perfectly fine with flip-flops, t-shirts and wind-blown hair!
  20. We are looking to stay the night before our cruise from PC. Is there a hotel zone or any cool places to stay near some laid back bars/restaurants?
  21. I have no interest in the E class ships. And I'm not really interested in HA either. I will say that we recently tried MSC Yacht Club and loved it!
