  1. Maybe an announcement in the theater at the evening show. I would not expect much.
  2. It varies by ship , show, and date. They are starting to let you book some shows in the cruise planner effective 1/1. Ice and water shows still need reservations. You can usually just walk in for the fly in entertainment.
  3. I know it's been mentioned before, but it's late and I'm tired. How do I contact the Maitre D of the Anthem? Thanks in advance for your help.
  4. Most families with chicken prefer the seven day cruises. It's harder to sell the eleven day cruises in the summer.
  5. The Jewel is doing a 14 night to Canada and Greenland next fall from Cape Liberty.
  6. Don't be upset but she's taking over for the Oasis and very likely sailing the same routes.
  7. It works for Anthem, Oasis, and other ships. I use it all the time.
  8. Thanks. I'm getting ready for the Symphony release this week and I know accessible rooms are at a premium.
  9. Thanks. Score one for Royals I/T staff again. Can I assume the handicapped rooms would the the same as the Anthem and Oasis.
  10. I'm trying to use the following link to get a list of accessible cabins for the Symphony and Odeessy and it's not working. What are the correct two digit codes? http://www.royalcaribbean.com/findacruise/ports/accessibilityFeatures.do?pagename=accessible_staterooms_popup_an
  11. It's about 20 minutes versus 5 for the water taxi. It depends on how well you tolerate the heat and how much time you have.
  12. That's not true. Most ships depart at 3 and pass under the bridge about 3:45 or so. The tides vary daily, it's not a constant.
  13. Spoke to Mario last week on the Anthem. He said he's leaving mid January but didn't know who his replacement was.
  14. Take an island tour that includes SMX airport and the French side of the island.
  15. The new itinerary doesn't happen until 2024. Jan 2023 still has the old ones.
  16. The timing is off. Liberty doesn't get to Bayonne until the early May (not sure of the exact date).
  17. It also depends on the time of day. You'll see lower minimum bets during late morning and early afternoon when the casino isn't that busy to entice more people to play the table games.
  18. On the Anthem now Got the sanitizer and mask in a standard balcony.
  19. You could always sneak some 50ml of your favorites in your luggage. So I've been told.
  20. Agreed, but many take it because of location. They don't want to go a few tables in where many tables are available. I've seen many people lay the accessible placard down, and then cover it with a napkin.
  21. My wife is a stroke survivor and has used a wheelchair or scooter for the past seven years. There should be clearly marked areas in the WJ. Sorrento's and the cafes will not be an issue either. As for shows, the accessible area is usually the back row. It allows seating for the person in the wheelchair as well as their companion. If you see healthy people sitting in these areas, just point it out to the matre'd in a food area, or an activity member in a show area and they will ask the offender to move. Please do not flame me for the term "healthy people". Most people using an accessible area know exactly what I am saying.
  22. I did a B2B on it in October. I didn't like the casino. I thought it was very tight and closed in. They didn't have a a clearly defined non smoking area , people smoked anywhere they wanted to and staff didn't enforce the the non smoking areas. I was not a fan of the pizza shop in the Royal Promenade. Pizza seemed to be burnt most of the time and service was so slow that people gave up and just walked away.
  23. I've also been on ships where it hasn't happened until the Tuesday or Wednesday after Thanksgiving. There's no set pattern.
