There is also a difference between US Cruises an European Cruises. US Cruises are cheaper and have more Solos I think. In the Med there are only a few solo cabins.

In YC is both possible. Sometimes we leave it at the terminal and sometimes on the ship. No Problem.

I always bring a normal small scissor on board. I will knit on board. and in my handluggage i have a little swiss knive with a 4 cm blade. Twice in 10 years they take it away at the Airport, once in Hongkong and once in the USA. On the Ships it was never a problem.

There is alway a MSC Transportation to Hamburg Airport. You can book it on board. There are a lot of people the book a fly and cruise and there is the transportation from the Airport to the Ship and back included. But you can book a Transportation to the Airport on board the Ship. I takes 1.5 h to the Airport. The last two times we were at 11:30 at the Airport. But Hamburg is a chaotic Airport, and you have to wait a long time for security and there is no express oder business Line at security. You can prebook a time slot for the security on the Airport-Website. The check in is usually fast, but then at security. Once I took the Train from Kiel Hauptbahnhof to Hamburg Hauptbahnhof and then de S-Bahn to the Airport (20 min) but with the MSC Bus its more comfortable.

Yes the included vins in YC are very low quality. I prefer other vines and buy one or two bottles of them then.

You have to pay 2 adults per cabin = 4 adults for 2 connecting cabins. I prefer to book with a TA then direct with MSC.

Yes, Vatican by train is no problem, but the musei vaticani are very crowded. You have to buy a ticket for a specific time slot two months or so in advance. YC in low saison: At the moment there is low saison for med cruises, so the YC is not full and a lot of cabins are not at capacity. In high saison (European school holidays) the YC is really crowded and all cabins at full capacity of 3 oder 4 persons. Then the restaurant, the TSL and the Pool Grill on the WE are really to small. We waited more than 1.5 hours to get a place in the restaurant and also at the Pool Grill. Normally the sommelier want to sell you some of the better wines that aren't included in the YC package. The included vines are sosolala, we don't like a lot of them.

The wifi on den WE is okay and with the browse package is good for email, websites etc. no YouTube oder Zoom. VPN I don't know.

In the med there is no zero count, so you can stay on the ship. You have to change your cruise card, but no stress with count zero. There will be new guests in most of the ports.

I hope the ship is not so crowded like last year in December. It is my last chance for this ship an i booked a normal balcony cabin not YC.

World Europa isn't a sister ship of the MeravigliaClass Ships. The YC is totally different and there are much more cabins for the YC Restaurant or the Top Sail Lounge. We were in the WE YC a year ago, and it was not a good experience... i will be on the WE in February and I hope it will be not so crowded as last year.

On the newer Ships there are a few solo inside cabins/studios. But on the older ships not. Last year there were other prices than this year for solos.

Yes it depends the ship, the region and the time of the year. Some cruises are 120% and some 200%... I sail once ore twice a year solo in YC, but it ist not cheap... during covid there weren't any supplements für solos, so I was sailing twice in YC for less tann 1000 Euro a week, my next cruise in February is more dann 3600 Euro a week in YC, so I booked a normal balcony cabin for me.

Your expections are strange. With tipping you want to buy better service? But MSC is a european cruise line and tipping is not common in europe, you don t have better service with tipping.

Morpheusofthese: On Explora all pax are treated on the same way, there are no YC- special-services like on MSC YC Ships. So if you want to have a special service, take a YC Cabin. It logical there are no reserved seats in a theater or special wating lines. For me Explora is not really a luxury line, it's a smaller Ship.

You get an invite for the speakeasy bar. It s a token and only with this token you can go. On the token is a QR Code ant with this you have all the Infos you need to know. But not all people recived a token, we were in the YC and also there not all people recive one.

With the luggage there is no problem. You can leave it at the concierge or in the terminal. Once the made a phone call to us at 4 pm, that our luggage was the last in the terminal in Marseille. We left the ship a little bit after 4 pm. We never leave the ship before lunch in Europe, and it was never a problem. In Genoa my train home departs at 1.20 or so, I take lunch on bard and 12.50 I leave the ship.

Cabins to be cleaned at 8 also on european cruises… with diamond you can stay longer in the cabin. But it is no problem to stay in the public rooms on the ship until 1 or 2 pm.

In Europe you can stay until the afternoon on the ship, there is no count zero like in the US. Sometimes we stay until 3 pm oder so on the ship in Europe. You have to ask the staff and in the YC its easier dann in the other categories.

And the weather conditions on the Elbmündung were very bad last night, so they can‘t board the riverpilot until 7 am.
