  1. I thought it was only foreign tourists who holidayed in London. You have picked one of the most expensive cities in the word for accommodation. Come over to Liverpool for a great weekend for less than £200 a night.🥳
  2. The Prosecco they serve on P&O is called Canti….it’s £8 a bottle in the supermarkets. Alcohol by volume=11% The measure on P&O supposed to be 125ml. I agree with you the measures are all over the place,,,depends on which bar server and which bar you go in.
  3. Have you seen P&O drink measures?😏 Plus I’m sure some inexperienced bar staff on my Iona cruise two weeks age where using the 25ml spirit measure, they were the meanest glass of Prosecco I’ve ever been served.
  4. Yes,,,this being ashore is a red herring,,,,,,most people may have one or two alcoholic drinks during the day or none. Most people who go ashore are back on board for a late lunch unless they are on a 8 hr excursion. The real drinking is of an evening. My wife likes a Prosecco,,,at £6.25 she has x2 before dinner,x2 during dinner,x2 after dinner she is quids in with the DP without counting coffee or soft drinks.
  5. Iona being bunkered in Rotterdam last week,,,,I don’t think that is a LNG tanker.
  6. In my considerable experience the cans of Boddingtons bitter and Guinness onboard is no different to that pulled as draft onshore,,,,unless it’s draft Guinness pulled in Ireland of course.
  7. You could employ a housekeeper for a week and pay them £6000.
  8. It’s no up front chargeable but items are priced. The 32oz Tomahawk for 2 is £34.
  9. Was there last week…..just the one terminal next to the Erasmus Bridge.
  10. We traveled with Eavesway last week,,,they gave all passengers travelling on coaches a time of 08:15 - 08:25 meet in theatre,,we got there at 08:15 and they were already disembarking. P&O know who is travelling with Cruise Connect and Eavesway give then a list of passengers/cabins. If you are on another coach just inform reception.
  11. Just received an e mail from Celebrity showing what I can look forward to on my upcoming X cruise. Mmmm! Doesn’t look the same….
  12. Was on Eavesway coach on Saturday,,,was on the coach and away for 08:30. All coach passengers had a debark time of 08:15 - 08:25. Cant see the point of hanging around the ship when you have to vacate your cabin for 08:00 at the latest.
  13. Returned yesterday off Iona. I can agree with meagre portions in the MDR. That’s why The queues in the late night buffet every night was over 100 people. I asked the restaurant manager who was walking through one night,,why the queues (of course I knew) he replied ‘because there is only one small section of one station open,,dur!!! He told us all to fill out a complaint form and off he went to bed.
  14. I am Elite,I have a Celebrity cruise in May,but looking at European prices going forward I suspect Mays cruise will be my last with Celebrity. So,,,why am I still doing PuP’s?🤔🤷🏻
  15. Hi. My advice for Rome & Athens is Hop on Hop off buses,,the best way to see both city’s. Florence, one of my favourite cities is very walkable. Dont Miss the sail in or out of Kotor,,,beautiful. If you want to visit the Vatican museums and St Peters a timed entry ticket is a must,,the queues without tickets are horrendous. This is the link for tickets. https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=&ved=2ahUKEwjY8f3u5Yj9AhURiVwKHQ5zCTkQFnoECA0QAQ&url=https%3A%2F%2Fm.museivaticani.va%2F&usg=AOvVaw1Wh4J-jNjr2oauWYfZ7wXg
  16. Hi We are on the 3rd May Silhouette sailing and I booked MDR for all 10 night last week. There was no availability between 18:15 - 20:15. Booked on the Cruise Planner on website.
  17. Don’t take this the wrong way but do both of you maybe belong to a theatre group or amateur (or professional) dramatic society? I only ask because of all the different costumes you wear,,,,
  18. Maybe it was a crew exercise and the OP didn’t realise the bars would be shut. I see no reason why this person should be classed a troll. Maybe she/he adopted the child,,if that is the truth they deserve praise not the usual derogatory comments by the usual crowd on here anytime anyone has the temerity to give Celebrity less than 10/10.
  19. I have paid just less than £4k for a 10 nt on Silhouette in May. Watching those prices rise and rise to the levels you are seeing this will be my last Celebrity cruise. I have a hump balcony with the DP/Grats and WiFi. Much better pricing elsewhere,,,I am Elite but I don’t find Celebrity exceptional anymore. As an aside,,I have never seen Celebrity offer this before,,on my cruise in May there is an offer of x3 nights in London post cruise with hotel, sightseeing tour etc and visit to Tower etc,,,Stonehenge on first day on journey from Southampton to London and a half day visit to a ‘quaint’ little village (Bath)and a pub in the Cotswolds,,,bus to airport for flight home.Single=£2236…Couple= £3750. They are havin a larf ain’t they!! JC
  20. This decision was made in Dec 21,,,,a special exception was made for ships already booked for 2022,,,upping the limit to 4 ships. No exceptions will be made for 2023,,,the rule will last for 5;years. On April 30th there are x3 ships in port…Mein Schiff 2,,Silver Dawn and Celebrity Edge.
