  1. We have done a world cruise and are going again this January. You can always order half portions of most things, no alcohol with lunch (although I always have a glass of wine the day we board at the Pool Grill), walk the track, a bigger breakfast every once in awhile, then maybe no lunch, usually no canapés before dinner (we will have a butler). Those salt sticks in Compass Rose are very hard to resist. I am lactose intolerant, so I rarely have dessert, in part because it’s difficult to figure out what I might eat, other than sorbet.
  2. Look at the suite write-ups at RSSC.com, and they will tell you what’s in the room.
  3. peribit, Yes you have to submit a photo on line a couple of weeks before you go, give them your credit card info, and I believe watch a safety video. If you go into “My Account” on RSSC, it will tell you the exact date you can do this. After you have completed these items, you will receive a boarding pass which will tell you what time you can embark.
  4. For once, to use up all the FCC that was expiring 12/31/22, we just completed a cruise on Navigator in a Grand Suite. One of the perks was we were guaranteed seating in Prime 7 every night. We didn’t go every night, but often.
  5. We love the Block Party and have missed it. But as others have said, different strokes…
  6. We were on the WC2017 and are going again in 2023. All of my medications are in pill form. I had to get a vacation override to get my full supply before we left in January, 2017. I assume Ill have to do the same for this January, although I added a few more medications since 2017!
  7. Make sure you read the contract for either of these shipping services. Luggage Forward does have a list of “can’t ship” items, including the use of tracking devices.
  8. The only exception to that is the Crew Caper show, which is usually at 5:45 or 6, to end by 6:30, when the restaurants normally open.
  9. I read somewhere else she is new to Regent, but I believe was a CD on Holland America for many years and also a long time member of Stage Actors Equity.
  10. All of that happens once you are on board, as you gather (usually in the Theatre) just before the tour departs. Just make sure one of you hands in the 6 tickets together (each suite will have 2 tickets when you get to your rooms) in the Theatre. Then you’ll be on the same tour.
  11. Unfortunately, when you start in Spain, not much can be done-it’s Spanish law. If you are cruising elsewhere and are going to enter Spanish waters, we’ve found that the cruises lines will give you a heads up, and you can buy your wines or whatever in advance.
  12. No Block Party on Navigator that sailed 10/1 from NYC to Montreal.
  13. The buses to the Navigator started from the hotel at 7pm. We (a group of 4) decided at 6pm to get an Uber to the ship. Once we arrived at the pier we were through security and check-in pretty quickly.
  14. Thanks Rachel for letting us know. We too are sorry you can’t make it to The Music Man. We hope you and your fellow passengers have a safe trip home. Most of the next segment passengers have convened in a ballroom of the Lotte Palace and they have provided beverages, cookies, power bars, fruit, etc. We’re fine and dry (it’s pouring out), and for the most part, everyone has made lemonade out of lemons! Sue
  15. Thanks for the updates. Sorry to hear they’ve had bad weather. The latest at the hotel is we are to be out of our rooms by 12, a general meeting space on the second floor will be available to all until 7 pm, then they will begin the buses to the pier. I’m sure this has been a huge job to figure out. The ground operations team at the hotel has done a great job of keeping us informed.
  16. Ok. We are in NYC waiting at our hotel to board the Navigator and were just told that the Navigator is not in NYC the morning and they don’t know when she’ll be here. What happened?
  17. We just went to the Apple store in Baltimore (per your recommendation!) and took the photo class! It was fantastic, and free! Thanks for telling all of us about it!
  18. From Regent: no testing or ArriveCan necessary for the Navigator sailing on 10/1 from NYC to Montreal!
  19. We received the same email and will be sailing for the first time on Silversea on the Cloud in Antarctica in January, 2024. I went on the My Silversea this afternoon, but was unable to book excursions. Is it true of the Expedition cruises that you book them once on board?
  20. Unless the weather is bad, you will tender near downtown. If the weather is very windy, you will tender at South Sound, which is a bus ride to downtown.
  21. Here’s what’s included: letter from Captain the ceremony posy of flowers Leonidas chocolates Reception cake Veuve Clicquot champagne it now costs $470 FYI At the bottom of the RSSC opening page, go to Resources, then FAQ, then Life on Board, then How Can I Give Someone A Gift On Board, click on the form, scroll down to Celebrations. Many answers to questions are found in these FAQ’s.
  22. Contact your travel agent before you sail. Believe it costs $450. We are renewing our vows on the Mariner in January, 2023.
  23. I’m looking forward to your reports as well. We will board Navigator on October 1 for the reverse sailing of your trip. I’ll be interested to hear who your senior officers are. Bon voyage!
  24. We’ll, I just ordered it! It looks great, so I’m taking it on our Regent world cruise in January. Thanks for all of the photos from both of you. Very inspirational in planning outfits!
