  1. You will need the booking number of the other party to secure reservations for the group.
  2. Edo Experience is offered on our segment Tokyo-Tokyo next October as a post-cruise 3 day (included) tour.
  3. Is caviar available on the Expedition Ships, specifically the Cloud in Antarctica? If so, is it only available through your butler and room service, or can you order it in the restaurants or lounges?.
  4. If you have dietary concerns, they will leave for you the printed dinner menus for the restaurants the night before. They ask you to make and return your choices by 10 am the next day. When you have a reservation in a specialty restaurant, you will only get the menu for that restaurant. I am lactose intolerant, and this system on Regent has worked very well for me for a long time.
  5. I’m pretty sure it’s $400 per segment. I’m not sure if that is per person or per suite.
  6. Luggage Forward does not allow Air Tags. You should read the contract of any company you use (before you sign) to know what you can and cannot pack in the luggage.
  7. Air Tags are prohibited on Luggage Forward. Not sure about Luggage Free.
  8. You will not know the evening entertainment until it is posted in Passages the night before. Shows usually begin at 9:30. Every once in awhile there will be entertainment before dinner (which opens at 6:30), for example a Cabaret show put on by one of the Regent Entertainment team in a small lounge. The Crew Capers show is always before dinner, often 2 nights before the end of the segment.
  9. Sorry, didn’t mean to quote that last post. Mike, thank you so much for letting us know. It’s not the best time for everyone, but I think we understand the reasons. Sue
  10. Please read the fine print regardless of which company you use. We used Luggage Forward this year during the world cruise. There are many specific items that can’t be shipped. They also do not allow the use of Air Tags. For domestic flights the luggage must be locked; for international flights the luggage cannot be locked. If they find items that are not allowed to be shipped, they return the luggage to the original shipping site, often not allowing enough time to remove the problem items and re-ship. We didn’t have any problems, but knew several travelers who did. If you read ahead, and know what the rules are, you shouldn’t have any problems.
  11. Yes, they do stock it. It is the welcome bottle of champagne for Titanium and above.
  12. BTW, I have talked with many fellow cruisers who “never read the tour stress level ratings when reading info prior to booking an excursion, never read the information distributed in printed form once on board, and never watch the tour descriptions once on board on the television”. This must be SO frustrating to Destination Services. I know better than to sign up for a 3-person rated excursion. My husband, however, loves them, and is often stunned by fellow passengers who are on these excursions. He has had to help many passengers along the way. Not what he signed up for, but that’s the kind of guy he is.
  13. The last time we did this, it was the booking number. Perhaps they’ve changed and it’s now the suite number. I suggest you be prepared with both.
  14. Tanner was the assistant Cruise Director on the World Cruise this year (on Mariner) until she left a few weeks ago to join the Splendor. Amazingly talented dancer!
  15. We are currently on the World Cruise, and we have many Gold and above SSS members on board. We have had a Top Tier event every segment so far.
  16. Horizon view suites decks 8-9, with a shower instead of a tub, are just about perfect! We are on the WC right now, and tried again for a Horizon view, but couldn’t get it. Our friends are in one on deck 9. For our sail away from Bora Bora, all of the 9th floor Horizon View suites held a joint cocktail party with open doors to each suite. Fun and a great way to meet fellow cruisers!
  17. I don’t think that guides and drivers are Regent employees, anywhere. Therefore, please tip.
  18. Tips to the drivers AND guides on the excursions. They are not Regent employees.
  19. Just remember, the expansive, over the top Sunday Brunch on sea days is only on Explorer, Splendor, and soon, Grandeur. Sunday Brunch on Navigator, Mariner and Voyager is wonderful with caviar and champagne. Not as many food choices as the newer ships, but still a lovely way to spend a Sunday morning.
  20. You will be dropped off right in the downtown area. However if the weather is not great, they will anchor in South Sound, which will be a bus ride to downtown, or a taxi.
  21. Technically, I believe that changing status or anything related to the Seven Seas Society is under the umbrella of the Cruise Consultant, so if there is an issue, you should approach she/he with your question.
