We have taken O air but pay the deviation ($175 PP to deviate pre & post cruise ) one time fee unless you change your mind after you paid the fee We ask for the flights we want on the days we want then see if Oceania can get them within their contracts with the airline Once they wanted an upcharge we declined & looked for other flights You only pay the non refundable fee once you & Oceania have come to an agreement on the flights If you do not live near their gateway cities then there may be a charge from your local airport to a gateway We live near a gateway city YYZ so no problem for us Option 2 which we do more often is to take the cruise only fare & book our own air especially when we do BIZ class

AFAIK you register a CC at check in then the last day of the cruise it is posted to your CC Just to add I do not know if they put a hold on the credit card or not I never check my card I have a enough credit limit to cover what I spend

I think you will find both lines have their pluses & minuses Have not been on Azamara but they seem to have very similar things to Oceania the ships are the same R Ships with the exception of the casinos Azamara had them removed On Marina they do have the casino you can go or not they also have culinary classes if you choose to go for a fee they are a fun few hours Marina will have more dining venues than the R ships you pay as you dink on Oceania or get a beverage package if you choose you can take wine & spirits for in cabin use I am sure you will enjoy either line

What does it mean in real terms "Status Match" ? If you get a free drink with a certain line does MSC gIve you a free drink? If you get $$ in OBC does MSC give you the same $$?

Yes you can go that way as well still you will need to go outside if you take the aft elevators which I guess I failed to mention in detail Both size ships are the same Take the forward elevators if you want to avoid going outside to get to Horizons Hope that helps

There are 2 smoking sections on All Oceania ships One in Horizons & one on the pool deck guess you were thinking of another line

never book a cruise if you really want to see a specific port Just fly to the Island or Country do a land trip JMO

the other option is Whip Cream so do ask for the Clotted cream

no smoking in the casino if you get smoke infiltration get ready to abandon ship 😉 I would be more worried about the noise from the lifeboats being raised/lowered Hope you can get a C cabin we have tried without success
