  1. Have they ever checked the invitations 😉
  2. you could probably get a taxi there The locals dress in costume & put on a show at the dock They had different things like log sawing & they made maple syrup suckers or something like that very interesting welcome 😉 https://tourisme.saguenay.ca/files/cartes_et_brochures/magazine_croisieres_2018_anglais_web.pdf
  3. Well do you mean Quebec CITY as Quebec is a Province If the ship leaves from Quebec CITY look at flights to YQB rather than YUL it will be less hassle in the long run check flight options at https://matrix.itasoftware.com/search
  4. Depends on your interests They had a HOHO shuttle (fee ) to some of the sights There were 2 routes last time we were there https://destination.saguenay.ca/en/
  5. When you get onboard go ask the Maitre'd or one of the wine stewards Then you will be aware before you take the bottle to dinner JMO
  6. How sad The guy can afford an O cruise but had to steal something from a Temple no less I would have told the guide
  7. What time does the ship sail from Quebec city ? Are you flying in a day early ? YUL to Central station Montreal about 1 hr train from Montreal central to Quebec city 3+ hr Flight from YUL to YQB about 1 hr Fly from CVG to YQB you will have 1 connection someplace but you will be in Quebec city if that is where the cruise starts without having to get the trains etc.
  8. You could also check the west coast departures forum https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/315-west-coast-departures/ Compare flying into YVR with the cost of SEA & then renting a car /parking or one way rental fee/ Bus/Train etc
  9. yes Oceania is not all inclusive like Regent If the same itinerary on both you can do the math & see what works best for you Some of us do not drink much or do ships tours so paying Regent prices are not for everyone
  10. Most places in Europe take CC If you have a credit card that does not charge a FTF use it or if your debit card works out of Country you could get cash from onshore ATM's I had a travel bank account with minimal amount in it & a debit card for that account incase I needed cash along the way I could transfer funds into it from another account if I was running low But most of the time a CC will work In Norway they even took CC's for Ice cream cones ..( I did have some local cash ) If you want local currency maybe your bank can get some for you We have Foreign exchange places at the mall where we will get some small amounts for pocket money
  11. https://oceaniacruises.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360005405974-Can-I-use-my-credit-card-to-get-a-cash-advance-on-the-ship-
  12. I believe Oceania requires passports for all https://www.oceaniacruises.com/legal/terms-conditions https://www.oceaniacruises.com/sites/default/files/2023-02/oceania-guest-ticket-contract-new.pdf
  13. under your account click manage this cruise under my credits if there is an amount there you should be able to use it for the gratuities I would just get your TA to handle it or call Oceania The website is sometimes flaky I added something to the cart but when looking at the cart it was not there JMO
  14. In the past they have had the Special Brunches on longer cruises sometimes depending on the itinerary not always on a Sunday JMO
  15. Most OV rooms do not have windows that open IME but depends on the ships I suppose & the location of the cabin
  16. On the other O ships the steam saunas/showers are open to all If you are in Concierge cabin & above then you get free access The spa terrace pass is usually $25 pp pd based on availability by the spa manager I suspect VISTA will be the same Just guessing at this point
  17. It has not been listed on the website for several months so it probably is not an option any more
  18. Confused You said they had the correct names etc of your family so why would you need a name change?
  19. Did you have an E Muster or in person one?
  20. If you find some Canadians on your cruise I am sure they would exchange your USD at par 😉
  21. That is if you are on an O tour or it is a tender port otherwise you can just walk off when they give the all clear
  22. depends on the port Tender ports will take longer I would think once the ship is cleared 30 min to 1 hr We are not usually in the 1st group we wait for the crush to be over 😉
