  1. I'm pretty sure this hasn't been available since early/mid-COVID due to all of the varying cancelation policies and rules in place at the time.
  2. LA is the opposite direction the ships needs to go. The ship now needs positioned to sail from Fort Lauderdale and New Jersey.
  3. Eclipse will be moved to long Caribbean routes from Fort Lauderdale and New Jersey/Boston for Bermuda/Canada/New England and Greenland/Iceland.
  4. You're a long way out. The earliest I've been able submit bids is at 75 days. You may not get notified of a winning bid until 2-3 days before sailing.
  5. To my my knowledge they have never sold any cellular products onboard. It’s also not common to see most recent models of anything. I can’t recall ever seeing watches available.
  6. That doesn't surprise me from a typical Royal passenger. The type of customer that will go on the floating Six Flags/outlet mall/amusement park cluster that is Icon on the Seas are not going to take their brood of kids to a 2.5 hour dinner. There is a line in the latest earnings quarterly report that suggests they are not fully staffed. They don't segment it brand by brand so it's hard to say which line or ship that applies to. I definitely see Royal going more fast casual based on the food offerings on Icon. They are even doing a fast casual option for suites. I don't see that translating well to Celebrity although I wouldn't rule out changes to Celebrity's food offering just in light of much food costs have risen.
  7. Yeah. It's not apples to apples given the environment from 2021 to 2022, but based on RCG's last earnings.... Nine Months Ended September 30, 2022 Compared to Nine Months Ended September 30, 2021 •a $375.8 million increase in Food expense.
  8. The article pertains to Royal, not Celebrity. With more and more people pushing for a more casual experience, they want the quick in and out/fast casual crappy chain restaurant experience you can get in suburban anywhere USA. The appeal of the two hour+ dinner is fading.
  9. The elevators 🤯 anymore I will just share their sense of urgency and walk directly into their path as I step off. More than once I have made full body contact with someone. The line at al Bacio should also be some sort of social experiment. If you 'just want a black coffee' (which they do not serve) apparently you are entitled to selectively ignore the 10+ people waiting in line. Waving your card in the air seems to be a frequent approach too.
  10. How would you know the gratuities 'dropped'? You were charged grats onboard? You said the TA had to do something. TA can change anything even if you created the reservation with Celebrity.
  11. This just doesn't happen without the TA making an error or repricing you incorrectly. I've done my fair share of bookings and can confidently say I have never once experienced drinks/wifi/tips just disappearing.
  12. It's not necessarily wrong, but the full deployment won't be fully available until mid December. They just republished some highlights that were already released last week.
  13. Your rate category or rate code is all you need. The second line item on your invoice under Cruise Rate should show this is you booked recently - however these do change.
  14. You cannot do this. They can probably do some quick work over the phone to release the hold and apply the cruise and cabin to the future cruise cert. The certificate is really just a dummy reservation that probably has a 2039 sail date.
  15. Oh I sent hourly snapchats of a group on Edge that huddled in the corner of the pool starting around 10am and were still sitting in the same spot at 4:30pm when I left for the day. Never once left. This occurred on at least 2 days. Day 3 I think they ate lunch instead of drank it. They temporarily got out of the water, but then quickly returned to their urinal area.
  16. The front page has the incremental release dates. So far Asia is all that has been released.
  17. Seems like it depends on the ship. Never any glass allowed but we were on last summer and they were fairly strict about no drinks in the pool. Maybe it helps keep the beer chuggers from drinking a case without ever getting out of the pool 🤢
  18. Easter is kind of late this year so it may be a case of not aligning with spring breaks so much. If you're looking at the 4/8 cruise I would say it wouldn't have any more than normal. Almost any that are off school for Easter will have time off prior to, not the week after the holiday.
  19. Specific details haven't been released to TA's yet. Winter 24/25 Deployment - Caribbean Port Everglades, San Juan and Tampa embarkation (No Miami departures) No M or S class ships on 7 night east/west from FLL Silhouette 3/4/5 nights from FLL Reflection 6/8 nights from FLL Ascent 7 nights from FLL Apex 7 nights from FLL Eclipse 9/10 nights from FLL Beyond 10/11 nights from FLL Summit 7 nights from San Juan Constellation 9/12 nights from Tampa Short Caribbean - Apex/Ascent/Reflection/Summit East, West, Southern, 6 night Bimini/Key West/Grand Cayman 8 night (short) ABC itinerary Long Caribbean - Beyond/Eclipse/Silhouette/Summit 9 night ABC 11 night ABC 9 night New Orleans + Caribbean 10 night Eastern 10 night Ultimate Southern 11 night Southern Caribbean + Panama Canal 10/12 Night Ultimate Caribbean + South America Summer 2024 - Caribbean Reflection 6/8 night year round Caribbean (replaces Equinox) Summer 2024 - Bermuda and Northeast Celebrity Eclipse (new to market) Cape Liberty and Boston departures 7/8 night Bermuda 11 night Boston, Maine, Canada 12 night Greenland and Iceland New port Martha's Vineyard
  20. Today is November 13th. A Sunday. No one is working. No need to alert the CEO about missing points quite yet.
  21. Quick glance looks like Eclipse but I haven't tried to fill in the gaps yet.
  22. Some highlights of the upcoming deployments have already been made available. Not going to happen this go around. The longest Caribbean route will remain at 12 nights on Constellation from Tampa and 11 nights on Beyond.
  23. At one point pre-COVID there was some concern about the number of duplicate bookings. People with several cruises booked for consecutive weeks, multiple suite categories booked on the same cruise, etc. just waiting to see which ended up at a price they were happy with. This resulted in the current NRD structure and prices that really don’t fluctuate like they did in the past. The current system is fair IMO.
  24. It’s a good thing it informed you that suites were sold out since they are. Most people wouldn’t argue with that…
  25. Yes, Eclipse will be running the 12 night Iceland and Greenland.
